Trying to get my itinerary finalized for our trip in July and need to take care of my ADRs today.

Would it be necessary to have an ADR for Olivia's? We're driving down from South Carolina and I'm not sure exactly what time we'll arrive at OKW so I might need some flexibility on arrival day.

It really depends, we ate there for lunch and walked right in. Other evenings we saw people waiting outside. I'd say don't make the ADR and if you can't get into Olivias the first night then you can food at Goods to Go.

If it is busy, you can always stop by the Gurgling Suitcase and enjoy a Rum Runner. Olivia's Buttermilk Chicken is not to be missed!

In general, I think if you go at "off peak" dining times, like 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., you won't have too much trouble missing the crowds. I don't think it's so crowded during the day as it is for dinner, either. Good luck! Olivia's is a "must do" every chance we get! ;)

Thanks everyone, I didn't realize Olivia's was that good. I made an ADR for one of our non park days and had decided to do counter service on arrival day. Looks like I'll have to fit dinner in somewhere.:)

We have never had any trouble getting a table without a ADR.

There can sometimes be a wait during the dinner rush, but we've usually been able to just walk in. If you are thinking you are going to be eating dinner, might want to go ahead and make one---it is better to have and not need than need and not have.

ProTip: Even when we are not staying at OKW, Olivia's is one of my "go to places" when we just need to get away from All. These. PEOPLE. For example, one summer we were in Typhoon Lagoon at open, and by about 10:45 it was slammed full to the point where it just wasn't fun anymore. Shortly thereafter made the executive decision to retreat. Amazingly, on our way out, we were swimming upstream through a tsunami of people *still* coming into the park. By 11:15 we were seated on the Olivia's porch, under a fan, with onion rings on their way. It immediately repaired what was not a great day.

My experience with Olivia's has been mostly breakfast and a few lunches. It is a nice place with good food and service. If you are in OKW it's a must! I would say to visit.

Tried it for the first time over the holidays. Its a must do from now on. :thumbsup2 We had a delicious breakfast.

We have stayed at OKW several times, and our experience is that at lunch there is usually not a wait, but a dinner, it is not unusual at all to find people hanging around the door waiting for a table. And, I have often called and asked for a dinner ADR only to be told that nothing was available.

We've eaten there many times, my son loves it on arrival night, no matter if its just 2 or 6 of us, I've nerver made reservations and I've always gotten in without issue! I go every February, June and August and we tend to eat a bit later than most!

but give yourself some flex time to account for delays in arrival. I'd say two hours past when you anticipate arriving.

the food is delicious!
