I've been checking multiple times a day to surprise my wife (she does all the reservations, etc) and sure enough this morning I was able to grab a 5:15pm at Be Our Guest!!!

I went back to look and saw I royally screwed up and now I'm wondering what my odds are on keeping this reservation.

FAMILY:
I have a wonderful family of 5... wifey, me, 12yr DS, 10yr DS, 5yr DS.

ISSUE:
My reservation I made is for TWO... 2... Dos.. TWO!?!?!?! Why would they do this to me!!!

I went back and can't get another one for the 3 left over. So what do I do?

-call and ask them to add the kids
-wait until gameday and hope we can all get in
-cancel and continue trying

ugh. :(

I would call first and see if you can add the kids. Chances are...probably not, but it's worth a try before you cancel.

Keep checking and see if you can add the kids. Showing up with an ADR for only 2 people should be your last resort. If you end up doing that, you need to be prepared to be turned away.

the ressie we currently have is on 12/23 but we will take anything from 12/23 - 1/2. btw, we are just down the road from you in Damon :)
Ok I was going to help if I could but we traveling earlier than you. Hope you can get it for the right amount.
And cool :). Nice to "meet" neighbors.

Oh well.. Have fun while you are there :)

Hopefully I have some luck when I call

I would call dining to see if they can manually add it.

If you are CL - I have heard rumors that there is some small amount of tables available for CL concierge to reserve for their clients within the days / weeks / and upon arrival. I think it is very limited. It may or may not be true but if you have a CL room maybe you can try it.

-call and ask them to add the kids try this first, but it's highly unlikely they'll be able to do this because they would need a res for 5 available in the system.

-wait until gameday and hope we can all get in a really last resort since you want to surprise your family. There will be a distinct possibility that BOG will not be able to seat everyone, because this is the start of Christmas week.

-cancel and continue trying don't cancel yet, but keep trying to find another reservation. See below for a couple of suggestions.

ugh. :(

Here are some suggestions:

First of all keep trying multiple times a day as you have been to see if you can get a reservation for all of you. However, you can look for reservations for 3, 4, 5, or 6.

If you can find a table for 3 or 4 very close to your current 5:15, when you check in ask the CMs at the podium if your 2 reservations can be combined. You may have to wait longer for a table.

Likewise if you find a reservation for 5 or 6, then book it and cancel (or you will be prompted to cancel your current re for 2 if it is close to 5:15) your current reservation.

As a party of 5 you'll find that Disney's dining reservation system has a harder time finding tables for odd numbered parties. Even though a party of 5 will usually be seated at a 6 top the system wants to fill every seat so a party of 5 will be bypassed. Add 1 person and search for a party of 6 and sometimes a res will show up. When you check in at BOG just let the CMs at the podium know you're a party of 5. We've done this frequently because we're a party of 3. At credit card guarantee restaurants, as long as least one person shows up for the res, you won't be charged for the "missing" person. Also, because everyone needs to be included on a res because of fire and safety code rules, don't look for a table smaller than your party size.

Good luck. Hope you're able to find a reservation. :)

Thanks for the tips. I will continue trying!

I called Dessie line and it was a no go so I'm keeping the res for 2 and trying every chance I get for a better one.

I've been trying to get BOG multiple times (like 50 :badpc:) per day since I made all my adr's on my 180 day. I purposely put BOG on the 2nd to last night so that fewer people would have the opportunity to book it yet (because of the 180 + 10) and not one single reservation showed up....not even the 9pm reservations! So frustrated.

If you are not already subscribed to this thread, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3117169, then do so.

I scored a BOG ADR tonight because somebody said they were cancelling it. Good Luck!

I got my BOG reservation through one of the cancellation threads as well. And when I got closer to my trip (end of September), I noticed some BOG reservations were available.
Then when I actually there, I would just check to see what restaurants had availability and some hard to get reservations were coming up (CRT, Akershus, etc.)
I really hope everything works out for you! :)

yup ^..

I used the December cancellation thread to get me a BOG for 5 and then the table for 2 in the first post of this thread I was able to cancel/transfer to another member..

subscribe to the cancellation threads with immediate notification.. it works!:thumbsup2
