ADR Hold Times - 2/22/2009 - Chatter and Venting Here

I have been on hold with Disney Dining for over 1 hour now. Grrrrrrrr, I would just hang up if I didn't want those Le Cellier reservations so badly!

Yep, I'm on hold as we speak. I better have no problem getting Le Cellier and 'Ohana. At least I have the Dis to amuse me.

I am still holding, I kid you not! Now I know how they have available reservations - they send you to the brink and make you just hang up.

Oh gosh, you're not going to like this info...unfortunately, there's another thread going this afternoon that has a bunch of posters talking about still being on hold after 2+ and even 3+ hours. Apparently the few CMs who can do the new system (for ressies after 5/25) are swamped. One poster says a CM told them there are over 200 people in the hold queue for after 5/25.

So hang in there I guess.

Oh my, 200 people in the queue??!! that will take forever! I answer a social service hotline, and 1 day per year we give away $10 grocery store gift cards for seniors in the area (for the holidays). EVERYONE works, and the phone lines go nuts (we've crashed the system most years). But the most I've ever seen in our queue is around 50.

people have been posting about how difficult it is to get through today for ADRs in May (it's the 90 day mark for people arriving in WDW on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.)

Is everyone getting what they want when they do get through?

Well I was trying to call for an earlier trip today but got put on hold for like 15 minutes and had to hang up- so that makes sense now being that the 90 window was for a holiday plus it's the weekend i guess.

Someone took my phone call briefly about 10 minutes ago. She told me I was calling too early and couldn't make reservations. I calmly told her that I made a reservation 2 days earlier for Jiko for May 31st and have to call each day to make reservations for my next days.

She acted like I must be an idiot and had no idea what I was talking about. She asked for my reservation for Jiko and when she pulled it up said "Oh,OH you are calling ala carte and this is with the NEW system". Hold please.


So I'm on hold again....
