Got up at 4:30 AM (Pacific time) yesterday to get an ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table, and I'm stoked!

We (DW & I) went to visit our 4yo granddaughter last weekend. She and her parents live 5 hours away, so we only get there every couple of months. This was the first opportunity to discuss our joint plans for our WDW trip next April. My DIL is not too familiar with WDW, so she didn't know about character meals and the need for ADRs.

Now, I knew our granddaughter was a Cinderella nut. She owns nearly every Disney DVD out there, has seen all the Cinderella videos about 5 zillion times, and can quote the dialog from every one of them from memory. So CRT was a natural.

So when I mentioned a Cinderella character meal, my DIL's eyes lit up. But when I said that it was in the castle, her eyes got big as saucers. She said, "whenever Lexie watches a Disney video and the intro comes on where Tinkerbell flies over the castle, she always says 'Mommy, I want to go there!'. She's gonna freak!"

Oh boy, I can hardly wait :woohoo:

that is so awesome ........congratulations on getting your reservations........The joy your gd and dil will feel .........that is all you need to make you happy.....

Congrats. I'm a left coaster too and it's so great when getting up at 4:00 am pays off with those reservations!!! It will be a once in a lifetime memory to see your granddaughter's face when she enters that castle.

Thanks for the good wishes, Pumba and Pakey. Yes, you can be sure that the camera will be out and ready when we get to the castle. Not that we don't already have 1000's of pictures of our little princess GD :rolleyes1

I called the regular 407-WDW-DINE.

Note that 4:30 AM Pacific is 7:30 AM Eastern -- 1/2 hour after the lines opened. Being a newbie, I thought it odd that, calling within the first 1/2 hour, the earliest lunch I could get was 1:15 (which was fine with us; it's our first day at the park, so we'll still be on left coast time, so that converts to 10:15 AM for us).

Now that I've had time to study the boards a little, I understand that CRT is the most popular ressie to make; and that the procedure is to call in precisely at 7 AM Eastern. I guess the reason I got in is that the last week of April is not a busy time. :)

Ok thanks, I am going the 1st week of May, so my date is Nov 6th. I want CRT for breakfast. I am on east coast, so I will be up at 7am(I'll be up anyway) We went a couple years ago to CRT, and it was great.
