We are on DDP for 8 days/7 nights. During our trip, we are eating at:

Arrival Day: Chef Mickey's dinner
MK Day 1: CRT lunch
Epcot Day 1: Biergarten dinner
DAK Day: Sanaa dinner
MK Day 2: Ohana dinner
Epcot Day 2: Either Le Cellier or Chefs de France lunch; Via Napoli dinner

This is a total of 8 TS credits. So we'll have to pay something OOP and we're ok with paying for something OOP. I'm leaning towards paying CRT OOP, as that's $178 including tip, so it's a set amount and we can order whatever we want everywhere else. Does that make sense?

The second issue is that I cannot decide what to do on our DHS day. Right now, we have no TS meals planned. We've eated at Sci Fi. The food was fine, we didn't mind paying OOP last time. I just found the place annoying because of the blaring movie clips. I thought about Mama Melrose - we could pay OOP there - but then, I'd rather eat at Via Napoli and I don't want to have 2 Italian meals. 50's Primetime seems expensive for OOP and the food doesn't look exciting. And Hollywood and Vine doesn't sound good.

So I'm thinking that we'll have to do two CS meals but I have no idea what the good CS choices are.

Our other option is to do Mama Melrose for our TS lunch, do CS dinner and then do a different TS for dinner at Epcot or do CS for dinner. What would you do in that scenario? I was thinking of switching Les Chefs de France to dinner, which leaves us with only one OOP meal. We won't do Le Cellier for dinner, as we go RIGHT after it becomes a 2 TS meal.

What do you think?

If you're going to go the route of paying a set-price meal oop, Ohana is actually your best option for that - the set prices for both it and Biergarten are lower than the prices for CRT, even once you include tax and gratuity (which is included in CRT's prices).

If, however, your intent is to pay CRT oop to get two more sets of credits, then yes - this is the best idea. I just see that you have a TS planned each day already, and adding more dining (and therefore more restaurant time) into your schedule might take that much more of your park time off the table, so to speak.

As for dining options at DHS, I only eat CS there (not a fan of any of the TS options, including Brown Derby for what it costs), and generally only at Backlot Express if we are starving. Usually I plan a dinner at Yacht Club or Beach Club for that night, and we take the boat to dinner and then back for Fantasmic if we're staying to watch it. We've also done the hop-into-Epcot-for-Dinner thing as well.

We don't have park hoppers... Where do you usually go? That's not a bad idea for dinner... We do plan to see Fantasmic if we can. For an 8:30 Fantasmic show, what time would you do dinner?
