First time we are trying many table service restaurants for dinner. This is a much different trip than what we are used to. Usually it's me and my husband snacking all day. Going with my in-laws during the week between Christmas and New Years, we all discussed it and agreed that a sit-down place would be nice to secure to ensure we have somewhere to eat at a designated time. Where I need help is determining the best order to book all of our desired restaurants. Here is my current order -- would you change the order?? Any advice is welcome!

ADR Order:
  1. Le Cellier Dinner (60+6)
  2. Flying Fish Dinner (60+0)
  3. Boma Dinner (60+7)
  4. Oga’s Cantina (60+2)
  5. Hollywood Brown Derby Dinner (60+4)
  6. Jungle Skipper Canteen Dinner (60+3)
  7. Ale & Compass Breakfast (60+1)

I think it look good. Flying Fish I have not had a problem reserving but be aware they are not open Monday and Tuesday.

I think it looks fine. I would sign up for a dining alert service for anything you don't get initially.

I think your order is fine but given that time of year, I'd be prepared to have alternatives and/or skip some sit downs as needed. I also would recommend using mouse dining. You can see each restaurants current availability just by searching which is helpful for planning. It's free and you can also set up dining alerts for any ADRs you couldn't get. I've had good luck with it over the years but you do have to be johnny on the spot when reservations open up as they go fast. Make sure you sign up for text alerts, not email as that's too slow.

Your order looks good to me. I just did our reservations last week. I never did get 2 of the reservations we wanted. It was a little disappointing to see no reservations available for them when I went on as soon as they opened at 6:00am. With yours being during the holidays be prepared to have second choices. You should be alright with your choices though. Be ready as soon as your time opens with credit card in hand. I had to enter my credit card information with each reservation, which was a pain!

Thanks all! We do have back up TS restaurants in case things go awry. This will be my third trip to WDW during this time of year, so I'm definitely tempering my expectations for when my ADR window opens on Wednesday.

If an ADR is not available, go to the next one, then come back when you are done booking the others and ** keep trying **. Lots of people shuffle things around on their first booking day and stuff pops up here and there for the first couple hours of the morning.

I don't think you will have a problem with those choices with a party of 4 but as always, YMMV! :smickey:

Can do! We have Morimoto Asia already booked for Christmas Day dinner as a back-up if I can't get it. I've heard nothing but good things about FF!

Thank you! Great advice -- and I'm hoping to make dining alerts for those that I can't seem to get.

I don't know if you're aware, but MANY of the Disney Springs restaurants can be booked via Open Table as well as through Disney. There seems to be more availability thru OT, and often no $10 per person "no show" policy; you can cancel anytime, even day-of (or not cancel at all, but don't do that- someone else wants to eat, too!). I'd give that a try if you need back-ups- they have some truly amazing restaurants.

Thanks. I do have a few ADR'S already booked thru Open Table as back ups and ones that we actually want. Most of the restaurants my in-laws want to try aren't on OT though. Hoping I can get most of what we have on our list. We will find out tomorrow! 🤞🏻

We are going the same week and have the same four on our list. Oga’s will be hard to book 60+2. Flying fish is also a hard one at 60. We have that as a backup to Topolino's on Epcot/HS day.

Is OT just for Disney Springs?

WOW! That was stressful....

Got everything I wanted except for Flying Fish at 60+0 and Boma at 60+7. I did snag a FF reservation for 4 at the perfect time and I'm going to continue to check back to see if I can make it a reservation for 5 people.

Boma is literally GONE. I searched high and low for anything and there wasn't even available for a party of 1 on my 60+9 day.

Wow we wanted Boma for 12/30. Every trip we go at least once. Sad to see it gone.

I don't understand what is going on with Boma. They are booked solid, breakfast and dinner most days, unless you want to be seated at 9:20pm. I wonder if they are still understaffed and have therefore reduced capacity or something.

When I called today to get a locked ADR cancelled (they couldn’t so I have to pay no show and get a refund after; few hours before and after I can’t reserve anything for those 3-4 hours) the Cm said Boma was still not released.

She was well versed in the NYE fireworks but didn’t know about the change form Enchantment to Minnie’s Christmastime fireworks Dec 22-29.

Edit: I do know they are holding a huge chunk back for resort guests only (prime time for Chef Mickeys was blocked for Contemporary on site guests).
