Additional FLE Passholder Preview Opportunities -- Update Post #40

My favorite part of the Passholder email was the term they used for all of the emails and calls they got from justifiably IRATE Passholders-"CANDID FEEDBACK"!LOL:)

I was candid in my e-mail, and maybe just a little irate. ;)

i NEVER get passholder emails, i tried at noon and it wasnt working and i couldnt get to the 6 one since i was on my way to an airport to fly back to florida.. disney doing this during the day is nuts they should do it at 3am when its less likely to crash the servers

I'll add one. How about the assurance that when you go to the trouble of making plans to go there, that you'll actually be able to see FLE while open? Everything between now and November 19 is in soft-open status, with much of that period closed for exclusive access by various groups. As much as I trust someone like Berlioz to provide accurate info, there is still the chance it won't be open--and I bet she'd be the first to agree she doesn't make those decisions.

So, while the "exclusive" access and potential tour of BOG and maybe even a trinket or two is nice--it is the assurance that I'll actually see it soon that appeals most to me.

Actually, 10/12-10/19 was "unofficially" announced as dress rehearsal, open to all with but no guarantees on closures if needed.. Which isn't different from previews, since things can be closed if needed for enhancements even during previews, be it for guests, DVC, Passholders, cast, or D23. Soft open actually starts officially 11/19 until grand opening 12/6.

This post is an exercise in semantics. While nothing is guaranteed, the previews are the best chance, by far, for eligible members of certain groups to see it before November 19. I'm certain that intentional closures during previews, which people have planned trips around and formally registered for, are extremely unlikely.

It was mentioned, but you had to click the FAQ link to read that vouchers were not acceptable for the preview. That leaves out so many people.

I didn't read anything in the FAQ that says vouchers are not accepted. There was a vague statement that you had to be a valid or current passholder both at the time of sign up and time of the event. While I wasn't sure how they meant that statement I certainly don't consider the fact that I have a paid in full voucher to mean that I am not a current passholder. What makes someone with an activated pass any more of a passholder than I? Maybe I missed something in the wording though. Did it actually read "vouchers would not be accepted"? Just trying to clarify.....

When I called on two separate occasions prior to the registration I was told my voucher numbers were all I needed. But we all know how valid information received from a phone CM can be... sigh.....

Got the e-mail.............well, DH did. I didn't get one, but it was sent to my e-mail address.
I registered through DVC and then also tried through AP.....but that was a disaster.

I see the scheduled previews as an overcrowded test for what capacity will look like for Enchanted Forest. There is a chance rides/experiences/greetings will close during this time, especially because of guest volume. People plan trips because they want to be a part of the new magic.. Disney will absolutely close attractions or experiences during soft openings, that's exactly why they hold them.

I know what a soft open is. You seem to think a preview is the same as a soft open. I disagree.

My opinion stems from experiencing the difference between a soft open and a preview. Glad we can both agree to disagree and move on.

i just hope they handle this second roll out better than the first.. and i hope they stop people who have already signed up from signing up a second time

Had a similar issue with d23 previews, and got the same email. however, this morning, just received confirmation that they fit us in! Good news. Maybe they are opening things up.

To follow up on this, I got my response an hour ago. It is basically the same text from the recent apology, along with a request for a phone number so a member of their team can address my concerns personally. Supposedly they will share details of the additional preview opportunities as well, if I'm reading it right.

Mesa, I just got an email like you are describing, asking for number so they can call me, but I did not complain. ( I did send unrelated "can you turn on my pass holder email on" type email this week, because I never get those email.) I registered successfully for the preview already.

Oh my gosh! You were waitlisted and then given a spot!?? I was waitlisted too!!! I hope I get a spot!!!!

I received the email as well, asking for a number. I kind of wish that was a guaranteed spot for one of the new dates... Lol

We shall see...

Yes I was- two, actually!
I got a spot for the 8am originally, (after much annoyance that they didn't open up ticketing when they were supposed to) but the system wouldnt take DHs number, so I had emailed. We were wait listed for the 5pm and that's what we got...together! Happy dance.

I was wait listed too, but haven't hear anything yet (for D23).

I did get in for DVC though and not sure I would go twice since Fantasyland seems to be opening for preview a lot to everyone.

My experience with a voucher was that I finally got thru on the computer to register, but the voucher was not one of the "accepted" pass types. It gave a telephone number to call. So after redialing dozens of times, I got on hold. Waited 45 minutes, then they shut the whole thing down. So my understanding is that if you have a voucher, you will have to call to register.

My hope, too! If you already have a spot reserved, PLEASE don't register again.....give someone else a chance to go! Thank you in advance! :cheer2:

Just got off phone with passholder services and am now signed up for one of the additional dates. Those of you like me who tried and failed to sign up due to website and phone issues--and who took the time to contact Disney regarding your experience--can likely expect a phone call like mine. Don't give up hope! I just hope that the new dates work with your schedules.

The CM was very apologetic and nice and explained the available dates and options. He asked me not to share the additional dates so that those like me who were shut out and contacted Disney about it would get first opportunity, and I will honor that--so don't bother asking. I expect these days will be published by Disney by middle of this week anyway, if their previous mea culpa was accurate.

Disney can absolutely mess up. But this will go down as another experience for me where they did everything reasonable to make it right again.
