Adding on points? Is there a set limit...?

We're considering adding on to our DVC membership...(isn't it sad, we haven't even had our first stay yet!LOL) My question is, is there a set limit of points you can add on? I mean to the low side limit. Do you have to add say at least 50 points or more....I'm not quite sure on this one.

First of all, you are in VERY good company if you are considering adding on before your first stay. MANY have done that!

The minimum add-on through Disney is 25 points.

50 is the minimum if you want Disney financing.

We added on before our first stay, too.

Just to add that you are not restricted to five point intervals. For example, it is okay to buy 32 points if that is what you need.

BUT....

50 points is the minimum that you can FINANCE through Disney

If you want to take advantage of any promotional discounts (such as the $8 off per point plus no '05 dues at SSR), you must add-on at least 100 points.

And finally, if you add-on 120 or more at SSR, you also get a one-time grant/gift of 100 additional points (with no dues) to use anyway you please.
