Adding a night

we are staying at the carribbean beach resort sept 1-6 we are thinking of adding a night onto our free dining package Can they add that once we get there ? Will it have free dining or will it just add a night ? We don't need extra park tickets
I heard sometimes you can get a better deal at the resort

If you want to add it to your existing package and get FD for that extra night, you would have to add it at least 3 days prior to arrival. Keep in mind that there has to be availability for that night under FD in order to add it as an extra night to your package. If that night isn't available with FD, you can add it as RO and as long as the room type is the same as what you have booked with FD, you can have the reservations linked with a request to keep the same room.

The free dining promo ends Aug. 8th I believe so you would have to add the xtra day before then to continue the free dining. And it would also depend on whether or not there is availability at the resort. Your room may already be taken. We have added xtra days and stayed in the same room but not during free dining.

Days can be added after the promo expires as long as there is availability. The OP would have to speak to guest services to check availability/add the night as CRO usually doesn't have access to expired promos, but changes can be made after promos have expired.

So let's assume I don't care about free dining promo and just want a good rate is it better to add before it when we get there ?

I would add it before. There may not be any discounted rooms left when you get there, and likely any code for your dates would have expired.

It's better to add it before you arrive because usually booking on check in day is at rack rate. While FD is also at rack rate, you would not be able to get FD for the additional night because dining plans must be added or modified no later than 3 days before arrival day.
