Adding a DDP if you already have tix?

We came to DW in 2005. At that time we purchased 10-day never expire hopper tix and used 5 days worth. We are planning to go back again this year and use the remaining 5 days. Is there any way to add a dining plan to our exisiting tickets? Any advice would be appreciated.

You can't add a dining plan to tickets - the dining plan is in no way linked to park tickets. It is linked to your room reservation.

Unless you are an annual passholder or a DVC member, there is no way to add the dining plan to your room reservation unless you have a room/tickets package. You must purchase at least a one-day base park ticket with your room reservation in order to add the dining plan.

If you already have tickets, your only option is to purchase some extra tickets with your room reservation as a package. The good news is that you don't have to buy length of stay tickets. You can buy as little as a one-day park pass for everyone in your party.

That's what we did a few years back. We saved the 1 day tickets and last year, I was short a day (no dining plan) so I used up 1. Last week, my sister used up another when she took her MIL/FIL to the parks for 1 day before their cruise. The FIL got in free (birthday) and MIL used up another of our tickets. I'll take what is left when DH and I go in the summer. It will allow us to parkhop one day, since we have base tickets for this trip, too.

If you're going back, you don't even have to do that. One day tickets never expire.

You would need to book a WDTC dine package. As mentioned that generally requires a minimum of a one day MYW ticket for each person on the res.
Just make sure you do not use your room card to enter the park. Then you will still have the one day ticket until you do decide to use it.
