Adding a Day to a Package

We currently have a free dining package that we booked last August with 7day park hoppers. Since Disney just recently increased the prices for tickets if I call and add a day to our tickets today will our current 7 day tickets' face value be what we paid for them (and we have to pay the difference plus the charge of adding a day) or will they be valued at whatever the rate of 7day PH are now and charge us for the extra day only? Does that make sense?

If you find out the price will be higher, you can always add a day once you get to the parks and use them once (They should still bridge under those conditions). You won't be able to preschedule FP, but make the extra day one of the days that won't have hard to get FPs and schedule it after the upgrade.

Sorry I have a follow up question. Basically what I am trying to accomplish here is this: We have 5 disney adults traveling in our party and we all currently have 7day park hoppers all attached to the same package. One of those 5 is a friend traveling with us. Once we arrive we would like to have the friend with an 8 day park hopper ticket and the remaining 4 (our family) with AP's. What is the best way to go about that and is that even a possibility with all 5 being linked together or would we have to upgrade all 5 of us to AP' since we are all on the same package? I did not even think about that...crap.

Once your package tickets activate, you can upgrade whichever tickets you choose. It doesn't matter if your friend chooses not to upgrade.

Good deal then. For some reason I was thinking with packages everything had to stay the same for everyone in the party :confused3 Dang Hiro you seem to answering all my crazy questions lately lol...thank you for that :goodvibes

This is true until the point that you check in. So right now you would not be able to have different ticket options, all the package would have to be the same. Once your vacation starts, this no longer applies and you can upgrade as you need.

good to know :thumbsup2 so what we should plan to do now is nothing and when we get there and use our tickets once to get in, at that point upgrade the one to 8day PH and the rest of us to AP's. Thanks guys! :disrocks:
