Add person to BOG lunch?

Hey all! I was just lucky enough to get an ADR at Be Our Guest for mid April for lunch (12:45) for 1. However it'll be my sister and I eating. Can we just show up with an extra. I figured it'd be fine since it's lunch and you find your own table and there's no such thing as a table for 1 person. Thanks in advance for any info!!!!!

Honestly, I'd try calling the Dining reservation line and adding her to the reservation everyday until you get a "yes". If that fails, then you can show up... but I wouldn't just show up without trying to add her. Breakfast and Lunch have been "selling out" very quickly these days. Good Luck!

OK. this is good to know. Here's another option. Although I dont know how to go about linking the reservation... there's 2 times available for 1 person that day 10 minutes on either side of my current reservation. Should I make another account and reserve one of those times? How would that work?

Yes, this is what many have done. You can have your sister make an account or make one in her name, and reserve the one you mentioned that is close in time to yours. Since it is seat yourself, you can either go in seperately and then meet up inside, or both check in at one time, and the other can probably check in early so you can go in together. You don't have to link anything for that.

update: I lost out on the 2 options at 12:35 and 12:55. I booked one for 1 person at 1:15 so they're half hour apart. How should i go about this now? Oh and thanks for all the wonderful help thus far! i'm thinking that A. We can go at the 12:45 time and just say we have another person and if they let us in awesome! B. If not the other person can just wait and try to check in early maybe and meet up inside.

This scenario should work, I'd still play around with the "Modify" option on her reservation to see if anything earlier opens up... but as you said, since it's seat yourself and you both have a reservation, the worst that can happen is they make her (y'all) wait?

Keep checking for parties of 2, as well as closer times for either of you. Things will pop up all the time, as people change plans, especially as it gets close to the date, and even the nt. before when people have to cancel if not going to avoid the fee. You can also watch the April Cancelled ADR thread on the restaurant forum where people post if they need to cancel, and you can try and coordinate with them to grab it when they do.

Also try Touring Plans Dining Reservation Finder. It is free, you just have to make an account, and then you put in your date, time, restaurant that you need, and if one pops up it will send you a text, and you can try and log on and get it. I just got one for June that way.

So i ended up finding a reservation for her at 12:55 and booked it instead of the 1:15 time so everything should work out perfectly fine! thanks for all the help!

Here's a somewhat related question, not for adding a person but for swapping a person -

I have a reservation for 2 with me as the contact since I manage the MDE account, but it is intended for our 16 y/o daughter and her friend, and not me.

When I went back to the reservation to choose "update guests", it says "The Reservation Contact has already been selected and cannot be changed".

Can I go with them to check-in and tell the CM that we'd like to make the substitution, should I just have her friend use my magicband to check in (do they check that closely?), or am I stuck with things the way they are?

They don't need the MagicBand unless they preorder; the preorder should be on the 16YO's band anyway. No need to worry about names.
