I already own 250pts at BLT. I'm looking to add on about 200 pts.
If this is an add on does it really make much sense to go through Disney? If I can pick up 200 pts at say SSR for around $65 per pt, the i would have say the whole 450 pts available as a group at the 7 month window, correct?

I still have my original 250 pts thru Disney for full member benefits.

Am i missing any disadvantages?

I don't think you are missing anything. Keep reading around here. Many experienced folks will tell you that it is easier to manage 2 contracts if they are the same UY, especially if you may want to use them as pooled points at 7 months.

Check out the ROFR thread, you may well be able to do better than $65/pp on a SSR contract, mainly due to the sheer number of available SSR contracts out there. If you have the money to spend it is a buyers market. GL
