I just received an email from Disney:

As a Member of who has banked or borrowed vaction points:

Add on 50 Vaction points and receivbe 2 adult 1 day/1 park Disney Theme Park Tickets and with every add on of 25 points your receive another.

Or add on 130 + points your receive 2 adult Disney Annual passes.

The add on must be at SSR.

You can also receive a $400 credit or more toward your down payment when you add on at least 50 Vaction points.

Normally if you only added-on 50 points at SSR you wouldn't get any incentives, thus you'd just pay $98 per point. I believe what they are doing is if you add-on 50 points at SSR, you will get the 2 adult tickets AND they will give you the $8 off per point (you used to have to add-on at least 100 points to get the 8 off). $8 x 50 = $400 which they would allow you to apply towards the downpayment.

It's a pretty nice deal for a 50 pt add-on at SSR.

Purely based upon a previous post I would believe that the $400 credit is $8 off for a 50 point contract. You should check with your DVC guide.

We just did the add-on on Monday & received 2005 points, the $8.00 off, the free AP's and the points were available in our account to use by mid-day Tuesday......We already have ressies for the 2005 points!

For us, it was a great deal!

You'd get the August 2005 points now and would get your '06 allocation on August 1, 2006.

We got two... one was the "you recently returned from vacation" one & the other is "this year marks your 10th anniversary as a DVC member". Both have the same incentive.

I also received the same email, my ? can you purchase an add on at one of the other DCV resorts (depending if their are points available or waitlist for the points)and still get the 8 dollars off plus the AP ? or is the offer just on SSR .

That's the one we got too. They track your travels because just before we left for DL we got an email about DVC perks at the Disneyland Resort.

My email said just SSR. Since there are waitlists for the sold out resorts, I don't think they'll be offering any incentives for those.

If they did, we'd jump on it...

I was also wondering if this could be used for the "sold out" resorts. But in the email it does say SSR. I am calling my guide Monday to find out for sure since I just started process for a add on at BCV before this email came out. Though I think if you figure it out money wise the friends and family discount of 15% off they had not too long ago was a better deal. I think... haven't calculated it yet. But that being said I am considering this deal now.
