Ad ons at SSR?

We are waiting for our paper work to go through as we finance 200 pts. at SSR. That's all we can afford at the moment, but I was trying to find out how ad-ons will affect us. For example, I understand that SSR is 75% sold out on this phase, but once SSR is completely sold out -- will we still be able to purchase ad-ons through DVC or only on the resale market? In other words, can you still purchase ad-on points even though a resort is completely sold out? (dumb question?)

If a resort is completely sold out, you would have to purchase any "add-ons" via the resale market.

That said, members have reported being able to purchase ad on contracts for sold out resorts. Apparently, Disney will make points available from ROFR purchases or "repossessions". You may have to wait awhile for those, though.

P.S. I think it will be awhile before SSR is completely sold out. When completed, it will be the largest DVC resort (in terms of rooms/units). By then, you will see more resales. Maybe you will want to buy points at the next resort (I'm sure there willbe more) or even one of the other "sold out" resorts.
