The quality of posts on this board far supases anything else out there. I do have one question though. There are a ton of acronyms used. Can someone tell me what people are talking about when they say DD, or DS (sounds like family members, but can't figure it out)

Also how do you guys get the countdown clocks in your signatures. I don't have the time to search out the archives to figure it out as I'm suppossed to be working.

Thanks in advance,
the real goofy

Disney Daughter and Disney Son

Welcome to the Dis! I'm so glad you found us. I hope you will take a look around our site. We have lots of boards that cover various subjects about Disney.

You can also use case with the family abbreviations to denote age:

DD= Disney Daughter (Adult)
Dd= Disney Daughter (Child)
DS= Disney Son (Adult)
Ds= Disney Son (Child)

That's so funny, I always thought it stood for dear son, dear daughter, etc. I'm going to go to the thread posted above to see what else I've misunderstood!

Is there a
DH or
Dh or
DW or
Dw - meaning mature or not!!
Just kidding! Could not resist!

By the way (therealgoofy) welcome! You will find a lot of great info, and Disney friends! Just had to add a little humor to your thread!

Way back when people first started using DW and DH on usenet it did mean dear wife and dear husband. With the many Disney related website message boards these days, the D now seems to stand for Disney.

I, too, cannot seem to access the countdown clock. Mimi Q, when I tried that link the page that came up said I "wasn't authorized" to use it! Anyone else have this problem, or know of a way to make it work?

KatelynnsAuntie,

Visit the Tech Support Board . . . near the top you'll see a thread pertaining to frequently asked questions.

Once you open that thread, you'll see a long list of common problems users have, including how to go about adding a countdown to your posts!

Thanks Donna in Oz, and for your nice welcome on the Early Entry thread! It's good to be a part of the boards! I will try to get the countdown clock working!

Yesterday, I added my countdown by using the link above and when I went to test my countdown by clicking on it, it was saying I wasn't allowed. I think the tech board just closed that thread and started a new one for people to set up and test. So definitely just go to the Tech boards and follow their instructions.

I wrote all this because I really just wanted to see my countdown clock!!:rolleyes:

Well folks, I still can't get the countdown clock to work. :(
I tried going to the tech boards, clicked on "get your countdowns here" and it just won't let me, telling me I'm not authorized.
:confused: :confused: :confused:
