Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

Great pix of the hippo. Mine never come out, they just look like blobs. I too love AK, I think most people don't spend enough time looking for/at the animals. I kid you not but one of the silver back gorillas looks like my Uncle George! I don't know what that says about my Uncle.
Looking forward to your planning info,

Heidi

I couldn't believe the Hippo photos came out. We are going to spend time this trip really looking at things and enjoying ourselves, no rushing this time. I will wave to the gorillas and tell them their niece Heidi said hi ;) .

Another great back trippie! They are fun to read and am glad you have shared them with us. I pictures of the Hippo came out great as did the gorrilla one! The picture of your dog is too cute and reminds me my friends dog that watches TV all the time.

Do you have any news plans for the Trip?

A new installment is coming soon and it is actually about the upcoming trip :yay: .

Thank you both for reading and posting. Sometimes I think I am just typing and posting to myself on here. It is nice to know that someone is actually taking the time to read it.

I just found your trippie, and I love it. You guys are the sweetest couple. I can hardly wait for your trip.pixiedust:

Waits for more with heightened anticipation!!

Thank you Thistle for also joining us. You can not understand how excited :yay: I am to see that people are actually reading this. Silly, I know, but I was wondering if I was boring everyone to sleep.

Can't Wait!! :yay:

Kathy

Hi Kathy!!! How are you? I can't even imagine how hard it is to keep up with all the plans you have in the works. Hope you are having a great week. Tell Tricia I said Hi.

Hi! :wave2: Just wanted to let you know that I'm subscribing. :surfweb: Looking forward to your next installment. :)

Hi mkluvsmickey :wave2:, thank you so much for joining me. I love your pre-trippie, (just to warn you I am nowhere as funny as you are).

Now on to another installment!!

(I am going to shortcut some things here because I know I have been way too long winded in the previous posts)

We got back home and were instantly missing WDW. We went to Bill’s parents for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They live about 3 hours from us in Indiana. We had not told them about either Disney trip. His Mom is overprotective and he just didn’t want to have a disagreement with her. It was driving me insane not to be able to talk about our trips to them :hyper2: .

January 2007 rolls around and we both start talking about how much fun we had in WDW. All this Disney talk must have gotten Bill to thinking. He then says “How would you like to go back in November?” Well, I am NOT stupid, who would say no to Disney World? (Apparently some people are, you will find out in a future installment.) We immediately went online and researched prices. Super Soap Weekend here we come again!!

We are one of those couples that made a decision and change it, then change it again and again and again :scared:. As I have said, I get scared every time we talk about spending a lot of money. To some people Disney trips are not that much money, to me it still seems to be. Bill reminded me that we got a discount last year and chances are we will get one again.

He wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge; I thought the moderates were just fine for us. Here is where he works his voodoo with those blue eyes. I finally relented and said yes to AKL. We booked a room for November 6th through the 14th, 9 days and 8 nights again. I was happy, but it still kept bothering me to spend that kind of money to just essentially sleep in a room. We don’t hang out at the resort, we are always going somewhere, so to me it seemed like a waste of money.

We made a down payment on our reservation on March 30th. We budget monthly payments so we have everything paid for. We don’t like to use credit cards for vacations. By the end middle of May, Bill saw me checking out prices at the other resorts, lol. He got back on his TTY and changed the reservations to POFQ to make me feel better  . I loved that resort when we stayed there in Feb. 2006. I am a creature of habit, I knew that resort, therefore, it made me feel comfortable. I then promised that we would definitely stay at AKL on the next trip and would not mention my money worries at all.

Next installment… What are we changing now?

We love POFQ too! We stayed there for a weekend in May and I was really impressed with the resort. Of course, AKL would be awesome to try sometime too. But with the money saved you can buy more souvenirs! :cool1:

I adore POFQ and POR, but if you will see things are not what they seem again. When Bill has access to a TTY phone I never know where I am going to end up :lmao:.

I have to say I am so happy to be here! I have read all the post from the first to here and you guys are so adorable! I love it and cant wait to read more! See ya here and the tri-state thread!:cool1:

hey, fantastic pre trip........
we will be at Pop Nov 11-18,,,,,,,,cant wait to find a hidden Mrs K in the parks!!:rotfl: We will definately be on the lookout 4 u guys!:3dglasses

I love how you have us all sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for the next installment..... are you sure you don't write for the soaps??

Hi! I told you I'd read tonight, and I'm glad I did! Great report! I'm so glad you found me, and we could "meet"! Look forward to hearing more! You sound like my DH with the resort decision. We are there to sleep, and the rest of the time we are out and about. He can't justify spending the extra $$.

Looking forward to more!!!! I'd like to tell you a story about "looks". I remember reading a "Dear Ann" type column many years ago. The woman who wrote the letter said that she had the most wonderful man in her life and everything was perfect, except one thing - she was taller than him!!! What should she do, she loved him, he loved her, but this was her BIG problem. Well, the answer was "He doesn't deserve you - really, he doesn't deserve this kind of attitude - he deserves better". I think this story shows that it isn't how we look that counts, it's what's inside that's important and you are proving that. Now... on with the trippie.:flower3:

Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

We loved POFQ... so pretty, so compact, and the buses stop at the FQ before RS, so we never had to wait for a second bus. :)

It's getting really close now!

And don't fret about being "long-winded!" I think your posts are fine and I'm the Queen of Wind.

(Wait a minute.... that didn't sound quite right.....)

Kathy

Oh my goodness! I just have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE your ssw pics!!! I have watched All My Kids since I was born (literally) and it was so cool to see those pics!! I adore Tad - cool to see that his quirky, funny personality is also how he is in real life.

Looks like an awesome trip!! Thanks for the pics!!

Thank you for posting. Loved the "hidden Mrs K" sentence, between me being pooh sized and him in the wheelchair I think you will know us when you see us ;).

You know I wish I did, I would fix them :lmao:. Bill has this uncanny ability to tell me who the killer is, who is leaving the show, and who is coming back. I always ask him "are you writing this and not telling me?"

Thank you for coming to read. I love your report. It's not that I don't want to spend the money, I am a scaredy cat/chicken little person that is worried what will happen if we spend a ton of money on a room.

Nora03 your post made me cry :sad1:, it was too sweet. Thank you so much for your kind words. I easily cry. Bill says the sweetest things and I cry every time, he just shakes his head at me and grins when I do it.

:rotfl2: Kathy you always crack me up, I love that. As I said earlier, with Bill I have learned to never think that things will not change.

It is getting so close now, I am working on t-shirt designs and might even take a few pics of them this weekend. It all depends if they look ok or not :rotfl:.

Hi Jiminy'sGirl, I love your name. I adore Tad (Michael E. Knight) too. He is thinner in person and his eyes are amazing, I just stared at him, lol.

The full list of attendee's has not come out yet and I am praying he is going to be there. We have to decide who we want to try to ambush :ssst: mesmerize them with the wheelchair, j/k. I am really looking forward to it.

I always lurked on the Disboards, but I hadn’t ever gone to the trip reports part before. I saw a thread one night where Utahmama had posted. That woman is hilarious :lmao: . I went to her trip report, it led me to another and another. Well, you know how it is: VERY ADDICTING!!

I don’t know which report I was reading, but I saw a reply from KathyRN137. Under her screen name it says:

“A child is diagnosed with Autism every 20 minutes... it now affects ONE in EVERY 150 children and the numbers are rising...”

This got my attention, because of my experience at summer camp with Bill. I then saw she had trip reports!!! I had to go read :surfweb: . After I was done with the first installment I was crying:sad: Bill thought I was crazy until I read it to him. Every night we set time aside for me to read an installment out loud. I finally got the nerve to PM her in June to tell her how much her report touched us. She was wonderful to me.

The Disboards became a daily thing for me to look for reviews, tips, and just for fun. I have learned so many things here. I am more of a lurker/reader than a poster. The disabilities board is amazing. Any time I had a question, I posted it and the greatest people would reply to me.

I called at the 180 day mark and we actually got all the ADR’s we wanted. I won’t tell you what they started out being because I ended up changing at least 3 times:scared: .

Bill suggested we ask Josh to come again, it was so sweet of him. We took Josh to dinner and asked him if he wanted to go and would you believe he said he would just rather stay home - WHAT??? :scared1: (Remember when I said last installment: Apparently some people are, you will find out in a future installment) This is what I meant. I am not calling him names, I was extremely disappointed. That really made me sad :sad2: . I was looking forward to going with him again. We were going to pay for everything, all he had to do was go :sad1: .

Next installment: What did Bill do now?

*** A break from the pre-trippie, I have a question***
For those of you that have Crocs, how many Jibbitz do you have on them?? I am thinking about ordering some this weekend and would like to get feedback here please.
