AC Over-ride?

Staying at POP. Does the override work there?

If so, how do I do it?

I hate it when the AC shuts down at night while sleeping!

The advice I have seen most often is to let a balloon float around the room. It keeps the sensors triggered. We have done that before and it seems to work. My concern this time is we are staying at AKL-Kidani and I believe balloons are not allowed to be brought on the property due to the safety of the animals so I don't know what we will do.

That's so weird! Looks like the rough ceiling would pop the balloon!

This time we are staying at Pop Century. Guess we'll ask for a fan. Maybe that will do it.

Wonder if the ceiling fans in the other resorts do the trick to keep the ac on?

Wish I had saved the secret trick for setting the thermostat!

I can't remember how to do it either so I googled it -- I found these instructions on trip advisor:

Override or bypass for 24 hours by pressing the power and blue arrow button together at the same time. Thermostat should read Bp if it worked.

Also copied this from another DISBoard post from quite a few years ago:

On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. You might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours.

You are so smart to find that!!! Thank you, thank you for taking the time to let me know. I'm so tired of being miserably hot while sleeping in Disney's rooms!
