AC Moore sales?

Can anyone enlighten me on AC Moore sales practices? Do they ever have big sales like Michaels and JoAnns do?

They've just started to pop up in my area. I was amazed at their selection of Disney stickers, most I'd only seen online. They had two seperate Disney sections that had tons of the EK and others. They didn't have crap for paper in general, though they did have a few Disney sheets I hadn't seen (Tink vellum - mmmm...) and I picked up.

Only problem was I noticed nothing was really on sale at all, throughout the store. All the stickers, etc. were full price (it's hard for me to spend $5 on a sticker, LOL, but I've found myself doing it more and more). I definately got the sense the prices throughout the store were higher than I'd been finding at Michaels and JoAnns. However, it is very nice to know that if I really need something, they will have it.

But do they ever have "big" sales? I'm patient, LOL.

Thanks for any advice,

NED

IMO AC Moore has better sales than Mike's and Joann's a lot of the times. They do 40% off all stickers frequently, 40% off all cardstock (including Bazzill!) sales like that.

Their sales run every week, b/c your store is new, it may take them a few weeks to get into the swing of things. Definitely sign up for their online sales flyer. They'll send it to you once a week along with the link for a coupon. That's the bonus--you just print their coupon from your computer and you can print as many as you want, they just limit it to 1 per person per day, but I've gone through the line a few times in one day if I need a few items. It's usually 40% off one item, but you get a 50% off one more often than Mike's and Joanns runs theirs. They also take Mike's and Joann's coupons.

Ac moore has pretty decent sales.... They usually run a midnight madness sale here on Sunday evenings from 6-9 a few times a year with 20% off.
You also can print out this coupon and use it instore... just bookmark the page as the date changes weekly so you can use it again... :goodvibes

I have found that where I live in CT, that the non-sale price at AC Moore is generally cheaper than those of Michaels and JoAnns (paper, stickers etc.). I wish AC Moore were closer because unfortunately the difference in prices doesn't warrant a 30 minute drive.

I've noticed this too. Luckily i have all three in the same shopping center so I usually take my coupons and hit them all. It makes Black Friday an easy morning shopping trip.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I'll definately wait it out. ;) If they ever have a big sticker sale, I'll go nuts in there, LOL.

I just got an email with 30% off your total regular price purchase for tomorrow and Saturday. If you didn't get it and would like me to forward it to you, pm me with your address and I'll pass it along!

That's so nice of you to offer! I won't be heading there this weekend, but I hope someone can benefit from your generosity!

Thanks to everyone for posting again and for all the information. I really think I've got a great feel of what I can get where, and taking advantage of the "deals". Although I'll buy several sheets of any Disney paper I find, that's my one "splurge", everything else I've been so lucky to find on sale.

For instance, I was buying cardstock by the page, and just when I was ready to buy a real starter pack JoAnn's is having the 1/2 of sale on stacks. I got 102 sheets for $10, and all in colors I need/use. I've also been lucky at getting adhesives and stickers on sale as well.

So, as I said, I think I've got myself set up as far as basic materials go, and now I'm signed up for Michaels, JoAnns, and AC Moore coupons, or know where to find them, so I know to be patient on the other things I need/want. I've spent a small fortune so far, LOL, but I haven't gotten anything wasteful. I just can't wait for the next trip so I can take tons of pics to have to keep scrappin' all winter. ;)

Only a small fortune? :lmao: You need to get shopping then! :rotfl2:

I just got back and took over 800 pictures....that should keep me busy all winter!

LOL I'm really trying to curb it, at least until my trip in a few weeks. I've only been scrapping for about two months, and I've actually kept track of what I spent. I've done really well getting deals and sales, etc., but when I added it all up I was a bit shocked.

Then again, I don't think I've overdone it. I read a lot of advice before I started, and made some pretty educated decisions about tools, etc., thanks to many of the posts here (and some of those tutorials at scrapbooking.com) and knowing not to get things I don't know I need. It's easier for me, though, because all I scrap is Disney. So while I have to buy at least a couple of every Disney paper I see, just to have it, LOL, at least I'm not going nuts in all the other theme categories. I have found I like water and sky paper, though, and during the 5/$1 sale at JoAnn's I did invest in some Christmas paper because my next trip is for MNSSHP.

I signed up for AC Moore's coupons. I'm really looking forward to a sticker sale there. :) :)
