?? about Trunk Bay and the prices for Taxi's

Has anyone gone recently to Trunk Bay on their own? Can you tell me what the rate is for a taxi to Red Hook and then from Cruz Bay to Trunk Bay? Trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to do the excursion with a family of 5. Myself, DH, child-9, child-7, child-5. I have been looking up rates on the internet and it looks like taxi's are about $6 per person one way. That would mean our taxi's would cost $120...ship to ferry, taxi to bay, bay to ferry, taxi to ship. Is this about right and then the entrance fee to Trunk bay? If so, it looks like it would be cheaper to do the excursion with no worries.

Also, my BIL and family will be on the RCL and will be a ST. Thomas/St John the same day. We were thinking of getting together. There will be a total of 13 of us, would it be cheaper to rent a car on both sides to get to the ferry's and Trunk Bay? Thanks
