The kids and I were talking about our upcoming trip and they asked me a good question:

Can they bring any sandtoys/shovels etc. of their own to play in the sand? Is this allowed?

Can you describe the beach area for me? Any restrictions, things I should tell them before we go?

Thank you :D

At TL the beach area leads down into the zero depth entry to the wave pool. It is a ctually a little lagoon that you then walk out of to enter the wave pool, probably to contain the sand. There are lounge chairs in this area and yes you can bring your own toys, and I'm sure they sell them there. There may be another beach area at TL but this is the only one I can remember.

hi: there is also a beach area(s) at bb. let the kids bring their toys. we had little ones playing in the sand near our chairs at bb last year, and they were wonderful about not heaving the sand around. i think the teens with us would have wanted to join them.

thank you both for replying. We plan on visiting both parks, so I'm glad I know about both.

My kids are 10.5 and 5 and even though there will be plenty to do with slides, etc....both still love to just sit and play around the water.

I'm very excited and just added water/sand toys to our list
