? about Military and FL resident discounts

We are planning our April '08 trip. My sister and her friend have decided to join us for a few days. They are going the same time we are, but only staying a few days. She is retired Navy, and a FL resident. Since she will be checking in at the same time, can she book everything in her name so we will all get the discounts? Again, she is only staying 3 nights, we are staying 6.

I think the answer is yes. We are both military and florida residents and have been able to book multi rooms for family. (limit of 3 rooms I think) BUT we never checked out before the rest of our family.
I think it's worth a call to ask.

IF you guys were staying at Shades of Green the answer would be no. The military member must be staying the whole time you are.

You can go to shades of green to get your tickets and I believe a savings of 10%. One member of your party must be military to do this. Bigger discounts are usually available on base for tickets so have her check there first.

Call your local base and ask, first. Ours only sells very limited Disney World, and no multi-day past 6 days. I actually found the prices at Undercover Tourist very competitive, and I could get exactly what I wanted.

They changed the rules on rooms. A Fl resident or an AP holder can only book one room per adult Fl resident or AP holder, not three like before. So she can only book a room for herself and whoever is staying in that room with her.

Disney gives no military discounts. You can buy tickets on military bases if you quilify, but that only saves you taxes (I think they sometimes have extra discounts for active duty military). Undercover tourist would be better.

I don't see how she could get you any discounts unless you were planning on staying in her room. The room discounts are also few and far between nowadays so don't feel like your missing out on anything.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will ask my sis to call and see what she can find out b/c we do actually want a package. Oh well. With or without a discount, we are still going. YAY!!
