About how long will it take?

About how long do you think it will take to take ME to POR & then to our room? Our flight gets in on July 4th at 1:10 pm. I was thinking of adding an extra day onto our tickets & visiting Animal Kingdom for a bit before our 8:30pm PS at Chef Mickey's. Do you think there is enough time to worry about it?

From what I read, figure 1-1/2 to 2 hours to get to your resort from the airport. So figure 3:10 in the afternoon arrival to your resort. 1/2 hour to check in to your room. Then you have a PS @ 8:30 at the Contemporary. Seems like you wouldn't have much time at all (maybe 3-1/2 hours) at Animal Kingdom - you would then have to decide if it would be worth it to spend the money on an extra park ticket for only 3-1/2 hours. I'm wondering the same thing. My Flight get's in at 2:20 on July 4th. and am Hoping to be able to get into MK for the evening festivities before it reaches capacity. I'm staying at the All Star Music.

I can't decide. It would only be about 3.00 to add on the extra day. Then again, we could just relax at the pool for a while.

MK is usualy the first park to close and often happens on July 4th Now you do have the fact that your an onsite guest so you will have a better chance to get in. BTW I am also going July 2-9. July 4th at MK will be fun for those who get in. I hope to see you and other Dis at the parks on the 4th for some great fireworks.

Even if you only go for an hour or two you would pay alot more then 3.00 to go to the movies for two hours so add the extra day enjoy. IF you dont use it will 3.00 X no. Guest be all that much!!

But if you want to be on the safe side when you go just do what you want. If you go to the park that day just stop in at guest relations and ask to add and extra day. This way not un needed expense is incured only your time!!!
