My daughter received a coupon for Fandango bucks and we wanted to use them while on vacation. I wanted to know how this works. Do we put our order in and pick up our tickets at the box office or do we have to print out the tickets? I'm hoping we can do the pick up since we'll be on vacation and will not have access to a printer.
Thanks in advance :flower:

From Fandango's website:
Question
How do I use Fandango Bucks?

Answer
You can redeem your Fandango Bucks in a few easy steps.

First, choose your movie, show time, and ticket quantities.

Click the check box indicating you'll be using Fandango Bucks or a promotional code.

Enter your Fandango Bucks claim code in the appropriate field, including dashes, and click "APPLY".

If the amount of the claim code is GREATER than the amount of the transaction, the remaining balance will be saved under the same claim code for future purchases.

If the amount of the claim code is LESS than the amount of the transaction, you must enter another Fandango Bucks claim code or cover the remaining balance with a credit card. If you wish to use an additional claim code to cover any remaining balance, enter the second code into the same “Claim Code” field and click APPLY once again. You may use up to two Fandango Bucks claim codes per transaction. If you wish to cover the remaining balance with a credit card, simply supply your credit card information in the provided fields on the subsequent page.

Complete the remaining fields and continue to Review Order. Review the details of your purchase carefully and then click on the ‘Complete Purchase’ button. You’re finished! The confirmation page and email will give you specific instructions on retrieving your tickets at the theater.

Aprille, thank you so much. I went on the site and I didn't see that. So, according to that, it looks like you pick up the tickets at the theater. Just what I needed to know. Thanks :flower:

Florida_luvr, I agree.

Since I work at a movie theater, I should know this.

Anyway, the explanation on the Fandango website is correct...however...since you are not purchasing with a credit card and since you won't have a printer to print the confirmation e-mail, be sure you write in all the necessary info from the confirmation page on a sheet of paper and take that with you to the theater. There should be a 10-15 digit confirmation number that you'll get and it will be imperative for the theater to have that number in order to print out your tickets. If for some reason, you purchase the tickets before you go on vacation and you're able to print the confirmation e-mail out, bring that with you.

So, if I understand you correctly, I don't have to purchase the tickets for the same day, I can do it a couple of days in advance?

Most theaters know their movie schedule 4-5 days in advance and those times should be available on Fandango for purchase (although this could vary from theater to theater). For certain big blockbuster films, theaters know weeks in advance and have those tickets on sale. For example, War of the Worlds doesn't open until Wednesday, but our theater has had tickets on sale for nearly a month.

If it's possible for you to order your tickets while you're at home, that might be best so that you would be able to print out the confirmation page. That way, if for some reason your tickets aren't registering at the theater, you'd have the confirmation page to show them you bought tickets.

Nevertheless, most theaters should be accomodating to you if you just have the confirmation number.
