About CRT & Using Credit Card...

I had read that the person on the cc has to be present when you arrive. I'll be making ADR's in a few weeks and we'll be on the dp, but we're paying out of pocket for this. Well, neither of us have a cc, so we'll be using a relatives, and she's not going. What do I need to tell the CM? I'm not exactly sure what to do. Thanks

Yes, I've used my debit card to do it!!

I dont have any experience about using a relative's credit card, I do know when we went in Oct '05 I had a debit card - so I used that, and I paid OOP - and now that CRT is 2 TS I also want to pay OOP so I did give my debit card, but just in case, I did tell them I was using the Dining plan, the CM noted my debit card # (she did not ask me if it was a debit card btw) but said it would not be charged unless we didnt show!! (and I track my balance online, and 48 hrs later, no charge or hold has been placed)

We made an ADR for lunch at CRT just last week. We will also be using the DDP, so I left my Debit Card as a guarantee, no charge and it's been a week.

I was just told I would need to show my license to prove who I was, she told me that people have been trying to steal ADRs from other people. So showing photo idea when you check-in at the desk is now needed.

So just make sure the ADR is in your name, not the CC holder's and you should be Ok.

Just got off the phone with dining and the rep told me that the credit card has to be in the name of the person making the reservation and that I would need to show the card when I get there, so who knows.

I had to pre pay on my credit card when my travel agent made the ADR. CRT and Mickey's Back yard bbq had to be paid in full. Not sure why you dont have to pay ahead but I sure did.

Ok, let me get this right... you're paying OOP, but you told the CM you were on the DDP, so they wouldn't charge your debit card. So when your reservation at the castle rolls around, do you just tell them beforehand that you will be paying OOP? That sounds like a great plan, and I'll probably be using it when it's time to make my ADR's.
