We usually fly Jetblue, so I'm new to paying baggage fees.

We're flying Air Tran in January. I paid to select our seats and I know that I have to pay for my baggage, I just don't know how/when. Do I just do it at the airport when I check in?

How about the return flight? We're renting a car, but still like to use RAC to send our bags to the airport. Can we still use RAC or do we need to bring our bags with us to the airport?

TIA! :goodvibes

I asked a very similar question recently. This thread may help you:

I've flown Airtran in the past (not recently) and at that time we either could pay the luggage fee online at the Airtran website or pay it when we checked our luggage at the airport counter. When we checked out of our Disney Resort we were given information and a # to call a few days before checkout date where we could pay for out checked luggage with a CC before we checked out....I remember they gave you a confirmation # when your called to give to to people manning the luggage counter at the Resort proving you had pre-paid for your checked luggage......

You will pay at the counter at the airport when you arrive.

You can pay with a cc. at RAC desk when you check your baggage.

Since we had a credit on file, we paid for our baggage at the airport on outbound flight. But you can pay for them, when you check in online. With RAC, you call the number the day before you leave Orlando and pay for bags on return flight with a credit card.

:confused3
So has anyone recently flew Air Tran home. How did you pay for the luggage fee?
