ABD Backstage Magic - Summer 2010 Edition!

Two weeks and counting!!!! Not that I'm excited or anything :)

I think everyone should do me a huge favor and post pictures of themselves so I can start getting used to your names now. On the last trip, it took me all week to remember everyones name, then it was time to leave :) I'm so bad with names, it's scary.

Pete

Ok...it has been a long time since I've posted a photo. Can someone give me quick instructions. I'm looking for some type of attachment button but am not finding it.

Christy - to post pictures you'll need to first upload your pictures to Photobucket or another photo sharing site. Once there, copy and paste the IMG code from the photo(s) you want to post into the body of your email. There isn't an attach function to keep the nasty viruses off the boards!

If you have trouble, feel free to PM me and I'll try to walk you through it!

Good luck!

Oh, and my picture is my avatar, but I guess that's kind of small, so here it is a bit bigger:

OK, yes, me again. Three posts in a row - what a thread hog!

At last week's chat Kevin recommended bringing along one of those flat rate boxes from the Post Office to ship any treasures home. I swung by my post office yesterday (Sunday, so they were closed) and picked up the Medium and Large boxes. They cost $10.70 and $15.70 to mail, as long as you can stuff whatever you have in it. I am not sure I want to prepay, since I'm not sure which size I'll need (or maybe I'll need both!). Is there a post office within walking distance of our hotel we can ship from?

TIA!

There is a business center in the Grand Californian, we used it to send our our packages (Fedex) during the April adventure.

I bought preaddressed Fedex labels and Tyvec envelopes that we stuffed full of Mickey's of Glendale goodies.

Rob: I'm feeling better. Thanks for asking! I have a follow up doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I'm hoping for a clean bill of health.

Kristen, you helped me as well. I was going to post that I don't know how to post my pic, but I think what you told Christy will help me.

Don't mention the business center at Grand Californian to Walter - he's still traumatized from the last trip. He had the unenviable job of shipping back all the merchandise I purchased at Mickey's of Glendale (four massive boxes full). He still flinches every time I say "FedEx".

I still smile everytime I remember the frenzy at Mickey's of Glendale, and hearing you at one point during the spree telling Walter to (paraphrased)

" get six of them..."

I shouldn't talk, I bought seven polo shirts with various WED logos.

We hope you all have a great time!

Sunday night is fine. I'll be happy to come by the hotel and maybe we can all hang out in the lobby/bar so no one has to go far. Or we can walk over to Hoolywood and Highland and get a Beard Papas cream puff.

Pete - Madeline is coming????? How did I miss this? :cool1::cool1::cool1:Wooohooo! You know I love her more than I love you....

Nancy: I think that is a great plan for Sunday night. I'm sure after all the traveling that will be done that day everyone would prefer to stay pretty close to the hotel. I don't know when our welcome dinner will end that night. Would you like for me to call you when we are done?

Sunday night sounds good. I'll be there!

Hard time finding any pictures of my DH and me together. Seems one of us is always taking the picture. Scanned a DCL pic. Here's my DH, John, and me, Jen.

Sunday sounds good to me (us) too. Sticking close to the hotel is probably best, since we don't know how late the welcome dinner will go and we have a bunch of early and long (wonderful) days ahead of us. :cool1:

I had a hard time coming up with a picture of my DH and I together too. Other than wedding photos and some photopass pix, I'm usually taking pictures of him, which has the added bonus of avoiding having one taken of me. ;)

I started packing today!!!
Do we need to bring a lanyard or do they give us one? I know they give us pins.
Pam

Packing!?! :scared1: That seems so far away, and yet I know it isn't! So much to do!

I'm guessing they'll be giving lanyards, but I don't know for sure. If you have one I'd bring it, just in case.

On the April trip we had the option of selecting either a lanyard or a belt pouch for the pins we received.

Pete might bring a few DIS Unplugged lanyards if he has room in his luggage.

Everyone is going to have a great time! Enjoy your Adventure.
