ABD Backstage Magic - Summer 2010 Edition!

Rob...Happy 4th!! It's amazing the things you learn from unexpected sources. I had never heard of 1776 (the play and the movie, not the date!) until your mention of it (apparently, I've been living under a rock). Went to the link you put in your post (found your pic, at least I'll know what one person on the trip looks like, sort of) and thought it looked interesting. So did some "imbd"ing and discovered it was on TNT today. Just finished watching it, and darn, is it good! If your play is half as good, really wish I could have seen it live. Tonight is your last night, yes? Break a leg and all that, bet you all get a standing ovation, considering the date and all! What's your next project? Luce'

Alan, sorry about my delay. Just got back on board. Happy 4th of July! Your quilt activity sounds alot like one going on right now here called "Sew Oregon". You go from quilt shop to shop getting a passport stamped and get an individual patch, that when put together with patchs from all over the state, makes a real sharp quilt. Then in culminates in the Sisters Quilt Show which I've been told is famous across the USA. Tell Anne that until recently, when my back started being weird, I was doing half marathons (walking only) all over the Northwest. Definitely didn't rack up any 535!! miles, but I'm gonna do my best to keep up with her. You know they walk you all the way to TSMM (at least they did the last two times we were there,) so the real advantage is getting out early...never got to enter from the GC, that should help! Oh, while one of you holds your place by the side of the GC, the other can run to Soarin' for FPs. See you in three weeks! Luce'

We're back from our trip to visit friends, which means I am now in possession of my ABD box of goodies! I'm so excited!

I'm hoping to make chat this week, finally! and to "talk" with as many of you as I can in real time.

Hotel Guests Get Speical World of Color Privilege

We have some exciting news to share this holiday weekend. Starting tomorrow morning, Sunday, July 4, the Disney California Adventure park gate at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will open at 9:00 a.m. exclusively for Disneyland Resort Hotel guests so they can get in line for Disney’s FASTPASS tickets to each evening’s performances of “World of Color.” The Disneyland Resort hotels include the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.‬ The main entrance will open, as scheduled, at 9:30 a.m. for all other day guests.
While Park hours may vary, please check disneyland.com for the most up-to-date schedule. The early access for Disneyland Resort Hotel guests at the Disney California Adventure park gate at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be 30 minutes earlier than the opening listed for main entrance.
This is a great benefit for guests staying at Disneyland Resort Hotels, but guests not staying at the hotels will still have access to Disney’s FASTPASS tickets for “World of Color.

My 4th was ok. I've been having abdominal pain all weekend. I went to the doctor today. She thinks I may have appendicitis. I just got home from getting a cat scan. I should know something in the next couple of hours. Please pray that the diagnosis isn't appendicitis and if it is that it doesn't interfere with the upcoming trip.

Oh no, Christy! I'm praying you've got something temporary and not appendicitis! Sending you pixie dust and good thoughts. I hope you have answers from the doctor and the cat scan soon, and I hope they're good answers.

Christy...can someone get you some chicken soup loaded with garlic? Sure works for us for any flu/virus/etc. Be well, take care, don't overdo (don't try to go back to work too soon,)...remember you've got a really, really big trip coming up in 19!! days.

Thanks again for all the well wishes. I was able to eat today...which made me feel so much better!!! I'm still taking it easy but am going to attempt work tomorrow. I may make it a half day though.

I can't believe we only have 19 days. I've got to start the to-do list and get the suitcase out.

I am glad you are feeling better! If you can, try to get some more rest. I just realized we only have 19 days left. I need to break out the packing list and start packing. Can't wait!!!
