I think that I am one of the few on the boards who does not like the Lapu Lapu, I know, it is hard to believe, it was just too strong for me.
Now that's what I call painting a verbal image!!!
Nice update! Love the artsy pictures, and your "Jeanie" pose.
I sure hope somebody carded Tate before he got to order his drinks!!!
And looks like my SWAG theory for Master Predictor contests is off to a resounding thud!!!![]()

I wouldn't expect you to know what a SWAG is. It is a highly technical Engineering term.SWAG?

HELLO!!!! Lovely update!!
wait a minute - that Lapu, something is so wrong... HOW do you get INSIDE it? I mean really - that hole? does the top come off? Because that's my favorite thing when I had a Lapu - take that straw and shove it in the fruit, and then suck out the fruit.... yum, there's lots of fresh pineapple inside that carved out container!!
LOVE the mai tai tip!![]()
Yeah, that is why we are all like one big DISfunctional (Glennism) family that when we ever get to meet in real life, it is like we have known each other forever!!!That is what I love about all the threads and friends I am a part of here. We pick on each other mercilessly at times and laugh at ourselves and each other. But when all is said and done, we are all probably closer to each other (not actually having met each other in most cases) than tons of people who have known each other their whole lives!

Marv This is getting scaryI sooooo agree with how you worded what the Dis means to us , well to me at least !!! This is my refuge from a hard day at work, family squabbles and just when I need some

Leisa - that was truly laugh out loud funny!!!!! I love all the pictures of you and Tate. Nothing like hamming it up a bit with a tiki man. Great idea - save the pineapple, add the mai tai! And you're right - I, for one, would never know the difference! It brings new meaning to the phrase - "feeling no pain".
Liesa loved the Lapu Lapu update and all your Tiki Poses !!!!Do they serve an non alcoholic version ?? I would love to try that!!!!
Love the Lapu! Delicious...and good point about the Mai Tai ordering. My favorite picture of me from the last trip is a close-up of me checking out my very first Lapu Lapu. So delicious...so much fun!
Promised the update by 8:00PM my time. Made it just under the wire!!! And Rosie will be proud.........![]()
I have to admit, I personally am not too sad, but do know what it feels like to have a favorite attraction get relagated to the annals of history- Mr. Toad was one of them for me.

and a little bit silly? (Yes, this was BEFORE my 2 drinks.)
Soon, Mary showed up and we swooped in (well, she commandingly wheeled in) on a table wed share with a nice little family and eventually get sloshed with. Well, ok, we didnt really get sloshed, but by the time LeeAnn showed up, (oops, Im supposed to be maintaining some semblance of suspense here, arent I? My bad.) we were pretty juiced up. At least I was, because, Im telling you- that Heaven in a Pineapple was strong and guuuuuuuuuuuuud!
Tate enjoyed choosing his libation as well

and recommended a Midori Sour for Mary, which she ordered.
Did I mention that Lupus are tasty? So nomilicious, in fact, that one was simply not going to cut it. And ladies and gents, I am here today to pass along Disney Touring Tip #412. Do not order another full Lapu at $14, or whatever ridiculous price it was. My server, who was WAY too chatty, by the way (one of those hanger-onners, like a pesky piece of TP on your shoe kind), informed us that a more economical way (does Disney even KNOW the meaning of that concept?) to get more liquor is to order an $8 Mai Tai, and dump it in the fruit. Not exactly the same thing but close, and hey, after a Lapu, whos really going to know the difference?
Around 9:30, we settled up the bill at the bar and got buzzed. This time with a buzzer/flasher
Mr. Toad was my favorite Disney World ride. Now I HAVE to go to DL to ride it. Something about the Train and the devils that made me smile.
I guess it's understandable why there aren't any pictures of AFTER.![]()
Just curious, do those knees belong to the nice little family that you eventually got sloshed with?
That Tate. He's like the most interesting man in the world.
Nice tip from Mr. Chatty Server. He probably couldn't help being chatty after he took one look at your toes.
Wait. Flasher? Rosie was there?

So you're wanting me to SWAG on my SWAGs???Dare I ask how many of these you make on a daily basis? And what your accuracy is?
The good thing is that when we need our friends here, all the jokes immediately stop and everyone becomes the bestest of support groups!!!Marv This is getting scaryI sooooo agree with how you worded what the Dis means to us , well to me at least !!! Not as dirty as some things you've said to me.......Yeah, I saw that... and it looks like our tandem SWAG technique was a miserable failure for both of us.
(that almost sounded dirty, didn't it?)
That one was a lot of fun for me too. I spent most of the ride just laughing uncontrollably! I wish that one was still around too!Mr. Toad was my favorite Disney World ride.
I'm really looking forward to meeting up with you and Tanya this trip Jen! One of the best things about my dates having to change for sure!!!I second that thought! It's a great community here on the DIS (at least this group I've fallen into) But honestly, I am so excited to meet up with you Marv in August! And Rosie... we need to go shopping again sometime

we use swag in a whole other meaning around here.
when you go to a conference or convention, or anywhere that has free stuff we call it SWAG.
a sentence that is commonly used around the office.
Did you get any SWAG?
or
Show me what SWAG you got.
now i saw the suttle hint in your last update...but it was there....you ordered a mai tai for the second drink, and poured it into the pineapple.
but to be nice, (and partly because you didnt think it was quite as good as the original,) you offered it to your dear friend who traveled all day.
while secretly you knew it was a nice gesture, by compleating this gesture you were able to order yourself another fruity drink.
so my answer of 4 drinks consumed by you was correct.
1. because you got your first lapu lapu
2. you ordered your mai tai.
3. your mai tai turned into a fake lapu lapu when you poured it into the pineapple thus infussing it with pineapple juice and creating a 3rd drink.
4. you were a lush and ordered another lapu lapu
thus my reasoning is correct you had 4 drinks that night, and taking a sip of each counts for consuming them.
its amazing how i can twist anything into a correct answer.
I second that thought! It's a great community here on the DIS (at least this group I've fallen into) But honestly, I am so excited to meet up with you Marv in August! And Rosie... we need to go shopping again sometime
