Deb I just peeled off the spongy part of a die I don't use. It still cuts, you just need a good pair of pointy tweezers to pry the paper out.

Hey Girls !!

Just wanted to check in really quick .. I have been off most of this week with a sore back and a tooth infection ;-( and now I have to have the wisdom teeth out ;-( I will be finishing up my cards this weekend and mailing out early next week hopefully !!

Can't wait to see all the cards -- the ones that have been posted have been AMAZING

You're all too kind! I was just feeling incredibly old recently.

I talked to a different person at Sizzix late Friday. It turns out that they knew there was a problem with some of their more intricate Sizzlits dies when used with the original machine & converter. She said that they work fine with the Sidekick or one of their other roller type machines. Of course I don't have one. :confused

She said that they couldn't refund my money since I didn't buy it directly from Sizzix, but that they would send me another set. However, she didn't recommend that I get the same set since I'd probably have the same problem again. (Meaning the cutting, not the sliding.) I wasn't expecting to be told to choose something else entirely so I was having a hard time deciding (quickly) what to have them send. She suggested the original fish bowl die and I said OK. Sadly it doesn't have the coral pieces, but I think I'll have use for what it does include.

I have no clue when it will get here, but I have someone sending me some pieces they cut on their Wishblade/Craftrobo so I can at least complete this swap.

I'm telling you - this place is the best!!

FYI - I know we're not planning to use these for photos since they're so small, but the cards that came with my Rolodex just tested "acidic" with my pH pen. In fact, it turned yellow almost immediately...meaning very acidic.

I just thought you might want to know - for those thinking of doing a 3x5 set at some point for photos.

I was thinking of doing a 3x5 one for photos etc, if I get up to Staples and can buy the hole punch. Then I'd just cut cards to alter - just like a regular LO - instead of using their cards. But if you're planning on just using the cards plain - and think the teacher might just put more photos right on the cards later, you'd probably at least want to "warn" her.
