In April, we are going back to the World for the first time in 2 1/2 years. I would be extremely greatful if someone could pass along a AAA parking pass. I promise to pay it forward.

thx

We got one with our package, but it actually has our name and travel dates on it, so I don't think they're transferrable. :(

Gee, Neal, I think all you have to do to get one is book your package thru AAA.

get one on Ebay for a couple bucks if you must have one...I see no real need in them

They are non-transferable. Many AAA offices will give you one if you just purchase your tickets through them, others require that you book your entire package through them.

AAA parking pass grovel......

1) Not sure why one is needed.
2) Frequently the slots are filled by the time you get there.
. . . they are not reserved for a person
. . . there are far more passes than parking spaces
3) In most cases, the shuttle is less walking
. . . one has to walk from the AAA area
. . . the normal parking aisles are not that long
. . . the shuttle drops you closer than the AAA parking area
4) Also, as mentioned, they are non-transferrable.

With the AAA parking pass, do you get a discount on the parking fee or just the ability to park in the special "Diamond" area?

Do you have AAA? If so just go down to your local office abd get one.

If not you can buy one on EBay.

I totally get why you want one. WE take one every time we go. I wouldn;t go without it.
Goodluck:)

And yet again....AAA parking passes are not transferable, are not for sale. They are a perk of buying a pkg or passes through your particular AAA office. They now come with the person's name as well as duration of stay on them.

To be honest with you, they really don't give you the be all and end of of parking spots. Yes, you get a bit closer, but it's just not that big a deal.

I have to say that there is no way I would pay for something that someone else got for free!!! That's just ludicrous. Besides, AAA has stated their rules..plain and simple. Why do those who don't pay to belong to AAA feel that they should be able to get the same perks AAA members get??? Does that mean that you are fine with those who park at the CR just to access MK more easily?? Or those who choose to park at BW so as to access both DHS and Epcot more easily???

I also understand why some people want one...

Yes, I bought one off eBay last year for two trips (this is where I put on my flame suit.) I had back surgery earlier in the year, each trip was for a week but after the long weekend it was just me and DD. DD has a habit of crashing as soon as we get on the monorail and there is no way I could carry her, fold up the stroller, carry our bag and get on the tram by myself. I did find that sometimes the regular parking was closer in Epcot than the AAA lot.

Only once I arrived later in the day and the lot was full (MK-Saturday of Pop Warner weekend), but I typically travel during off-season.

Edit- for our trip this year, we are just parking in the regular lot since DH will be with me the whole time.

?

Actually, I just bought our AP through AAA and got the parking pass and it doesn't say my name on it or the length of my stay since I have APs. I, of course, am going to keep it and use it. I didn't have one last time I went to WDW and we got there early and pretty much parked in the first 2 rows anyhow but its still nice to have since we usually go during the busy seasons. I personally think some of the people selling them on ebay are AAA employees because some of those guys have lots of them.
We did have one 2 years ago when we went and the parking attendants didn't look at the dates or anything. They saw it in the windown, told me to follow the blue line (or whatever color it was) and waved me on. Plus, we had free parking because we are staying on site.

I'm sorry that you had surgery, but that is really no excuse. Someone else could say that they have bad knees, and therefore it is ok if they buy one of off e-bay. Someone else could say they are too old and need to park closer. One can always find a reason a rule applies to everyone but them if they look hard enough.

It is not suprising they now put names on them.

I get the AAA diamond pass, I belong to AAA and purchase my tickets there. Often times the lot is full and I am unable to use the pass. I don't understand why some people think it is okay to use something that they are not entitled too and thereby deprive a person who is rightfully entitled to the use of those spaces. Really it is not a big deal, when the spaces are full we park in the regular spaces and deal with it. I don't let it affect my day, even though I know there are cars parked there that shouldn't be.

I guess it is the principle of the matter. They are non-transferable and using them when you are not entitled to (regardless of your excuse) is stealing. That is how I see it anyway.

Because we live in a country of entitlement! Good luck trying to reign that in.

It goes along with the people who say loudly "Do you know how much I paid to be here!"

No, of course I don't ~ because Mickey called me and invited me to come play on his nickel.

I just love it!!

Can you order Disney tickets online from AAA or do you need to go to the local office?

We have had problems with our pass a couple of times - and our pass is legit. At DHS it seems to be most problematic - they have looked at the dates on the pass and even asked for our id.

I agree with others - if you don't have AAA, don't use the pass. I pay for AAA and book my package through AAA specifically for the pass. We HATE the trams and like the convenience of parking in the diamond spots. Occasionally we do get there early and could park in the regular spots and have. However, it's nice to know that if we get there later in the day we still have a pretty good place to park that means we don't have to get on the trams.

Next trip I am going to use somebody else's AAA pass.

And their handicap placard.

But I won't use it all the time, because when I go to MK, I'll just park in the Contemporary lot.

And I'm going to use their annual pass, too.

Oh, and rent a scooter.

And put my 8 year old in a stroller.

And pool hop.

And bring my reusable mug from last year.

And line jump.
