I recently bought a used car. To play it safe I joined AAA. I see they offer a Disney Park discount. Has anyone ever used it?

There is no direct AAA Discount on tickets at WDW.

What AAA offers are tickets that can be purchased at local "AAA Travel" offices (in cities across the country) that are sold at discounted prices compared to the prices at the gate at WDW.

Each AAA Travel office can have different tickets available at different prices.
AAA Travel can also offer WDW resort and/or ticket packages.
Call your local office and ask what's available.

I am not sure what portion was discounted, but my package (room, tickets, dining) that I purchased for our trip in October had a decent discount over what I priced out on the Disney site. Price what you want on the Disney site and then call AAA. Good luck! :goodvibes

I have used AAA discount on room only rates. On a value it was 10%. You have to call to use it - you cannot book it online.

We did that with our very first trip. At the time there were no other pkg discounts available. We got about 15%-20% off room at the time with AAA. Our tickets were discounted a bit as well, but really only noticable if you bought 4 day or higher. Since, however, we booked so far in advance, other pkg incentives/discounts came about from Disney and our agent was able to modify to those as a savings. If there are no other discounts available, yes, you can save with AAA. If you are only buying tickets, you can save as well if buying higher day amounts directly from your local office like Robo mentioned. They run around the same price as Undercover Tourist, give or take.

Example: Undercover Tourist - 6 day adult MYW ticket - 323.41
AAA 6 day adult MYW ticket - 321.05
disneyworld.com 6 day adult MYW ticket - 334.01

If you buy a pkg with AAA you get a AAA pkg pass, which if you make early mornings, you'll get a primo parking spot! They are limited, so getting there earlier is key, but worked well for us.

I have booked entire trips through AAA and also stopped by just to purchase tickets, receiving some sort of discount every time.

Also, at our branch you can pick up a Disney AAA parking pass just for being a member; other areas don't give out the pass unless you book a package. The pass allows you to park in a special AAA area of the parking lot, usually near the handicapped section. (It's NOT free parking - you only get that if you're staying on-site or have an Annual Pass).

And I believe we got a 10% discount at Earl of Sandwich using our AAA card.

We always book our entire trip package at the AAA travel office. You do get a discount.

Not sure if this is still available but it was when we went in 2013: If you book your package with AAA you can do a free storytime with a character at Epcot (I think it's only for AAA members) but you have to book it ahead of time. On your package papers they give you it will have the details and the phone number to call. They also have a AAA member preferred fireworks watching area (but we didn't do it since my son did NOT like the loud fireworks so not sure where it was in MK). They give some other coupons too like for water sports or mini golf...stuff like that.

The entire time we lived just north of Disney, we bought our annual passes (vouchers) at AAA and it was enough of a discount on that price that we condtinued to do it.
When we wanted a room only package, we watched for FL resident offers or annual passholders specials.
Otherwise we didn't buy tickets at AAA.

You can get AAA discounts for tickets, the resort discount is going away. I always purchase the renewal of my AP through AAA. I am also a Fl Resident so it is offered in AAA South. Check your AAA website or contact your local AAA office to see if they offer the tickets.

I'm glad I checked this thread! I'm a AAA member, FL resident & AP holder & did not know that I could purchase or renew my pass through AAA for a discount! Going to see if I can find it on the AAA South site now. :goodvibes

And my mother is a part time resident planning a trip for this coming fall so I will inform her to look into AAA for her tickets.

I have read about using the AAA card for a discount at EOS but I thought I read it was a 15% discount. (I remembered thinking I'd bring it to use instead of my AP b/c it was a better deal).

The AAA resort discount is available, it's not going away. I have one for the fall. The nice thing is you just call the usual Disney reservations number, no middle man. Have your valid AAA card ready, they do ask for the #.
The only catch is there has to be availability for your dates/resort.

Every region offers different things relative to promotions, discounts, pricing, etc. You'll have to check with the club you belong to in order to know for sure.

Here in Western NY, you can buy Disney tickets at a discount. 3 days and longer are discounted (1 and 2 day are same as gate price) and the more days you buy, the larger the discount. Nothing mind-blowing, but a savings nonetheless. If you book a package, you're eligible for the same for tickets and potentially an AAA room rate if one is available.

20% discount at the non-signature restaurants at Swan/Dolphin.

Now I definitely will not leave the room w/out my AAA card!! Kimonos is one of my all time Favorite places to eat! Do you happen to know if the discount is good on alcohol as well there or just food purchases?

Kimonos is one of the four signatures. And not sure about alcohol.
