AAA Discount for Summer 08

OK, it's been a while for me here. However, I am going to take my three girls to Disney next Aug. I am on the phone now with Disney trying to reserve my room at POP. However, she told me that I could not use my AAA discount because I am already getting a discounted rate going in value season. She told me the only way I could use my AAA discount is that I have to either buy room and tickets together or room and dining plan together. That there was not a discount on room only prices with AAA. We have only gone in value season and have always used my AAA card to get a discount to start with and then wait to see if a better code comes out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've never heard that before. We always use AAA no matter the time of year and get a discount on the room portion only of our ressie. I suggest you book through your local AAA office and not disney. This past Jan we added an extra day on to our trip when we checked in to the WL and we tried to use our AAA card and get a discount and they would not accept it, said that in order to get the discount we'd have to call and book the extra day through AAA....I still know that was totally not true, and that the guy didn't know how to apply it....anyway, I find it easier to use AAA instead of Disney, but I do keep a close eye on the details There is always a AAA discount no matter when you go. If a better discount code comes out our TA at AAA always applies it in lieu of our AAA discount. Hope that helps, have a great trip

Call back and try again. You should be able to book at room only through Disney with AAA discount and save 20% if available. I was lucky enough to get ASMu suite with a AAA discount for August.

I think you just got a bad CM.

If you don't want a package with tickets and dining I wouldn't book with a AAA agent. I like having control over my own reservation.

I am made my reservations thru AAA and got the discount and before I booked thru them, I tried adding my code thru the Disney site and I would have been able to receive the discount on my room..so I am not sure what is going on with you...Please book thru AAA.
