Are there any AAA perks in the parks such as a members only lounge or any $$$ discounts? We booked our rooms with AAA and saved $240 on 2 connectings at the POFQ. I bought our park tickets before the price increase and before joining AAA.

We booked through AAA and there wasnt much of perks but we did save a bit of money booking through them. They do offer a Diamond parking pass which we used in almost all the parks. It let us park much closer then where the trams were picking up people. The first day we actually parked close enough to walk to MK rather than take the tram. But some people say its not worth it but for us it worked out great.

There is suppose to be a lounge area in MK but we didnt find it

Our April trip is the 3rd we've booked with AAA. Last 2 trips we received preferred viewing vouchers for fireworks, parades, etc. Also, a Diamond card that offered discounts (ie 10% offat World of Disney store). :) I know they gave us something for parking but we didn't have a car so it didn't effect us. I haven't received our packet yet but I know there's some vouchers for freebies @ Rainforest Cafe. Call your local AAA office & they should be able to give you the info.

Most of the AAA perks are for PACKAGES purchased through AAA, not room only. When we went in October all of the special vouchers etc. were mailed to our AAA agent - it wasn't like she had them in the office to hand out. You can ask your agent if she has the parking pass, the Diamond Discount card, or the lounge voucher, but chances are she won't. The lounge voucher we got was printed up with our names. I specifically asked about preferred seating for fireworks but we were told they aren't doing that anymore. :confused3

I think the Planet Hollywood voucher is for ALL Disney packages no matter who you book through, but it is just for packages, not room only.

I booked through AAA and was told that the Planet Hollywood meal and souvenir voucher was part of the Diamond Card you get when booking. Don't know if it's for room-only rates also or just the MYW Packages

I'd also heard that the AAA lounge perk is being replaced with a Storytelling you have to reserve??? Anyone know if that's right or wrong?

The story thing is only like 3 days a week, and only 3 shows on those days. And the shows are right at dinner time - I think I saw another post that said 5:10, 5:50, and 6:30 PM. I don't think the lounge is closing. :confused3

Just for additional confirmation, I was told the same thing...That was a perk of old packages and they no longer offer it.

Regarding the lounge, I would be suprised if they got rid of it...It's AAA's attempt to sell travel to a captive audience.

We booked our package last year through AAA (saved us about $200.00) and are booking through AAA again this year.

In addition to the package savings, you also receive the parking pass as others have mentioned. If you're driving, this pass is worth its weight in gold (at least my DH & I feel this way)! We rode the monorail to Epcot & the boat from FW to MK, but we were able to park so close to AK & MGM - we just walked to the entrance w/o waiting for the tram.

We also got a 10% off purchases from World of Disney in DTD - which saved us about $50!

And, if you book a Family Magic Tour in MK, you get a 15% discount. At least, this was the case last year - not sure about this year. I think there were some other things that we could have received discounts on as well - like golf & some other tours.

We didn't use the AAA lounge last year so I can't comment on that. This year, we're considering the AAA "Story w/ a Character".

I think that January is "Disney Days" at AAA, and, if you book a package through AAA in January, there are some more perks as well.
