I have just been reading Deathly Hallows with DD1 at bedtime and we have just finished the main book (just got the 19 years later bit to read - all of 5 pages, to finish the whole book). She loved it, as did I - it is long in places, but it has such a descriptive and dramatic ending (I've read it before). I am just so pleased she's finished it as I know it's going to improve her enjoyment of Gringotts - so to ride is a total must for us!! Poor DD2 will just be tagging along for the ride - bless her! But she has seen the first 2 films so does know a bit - the books are way too old for her right now!

I was thinking of cancelling our AA membership and going for a cheaper option as it just seems to keep getting more expensive. Having read this I might just wait until after our trip.

I cancelled AA cover as bank account proves breakdown cover. AA gave me free membership card as they did not want to loose me as a customer.
I used the AA card successfully at Universal to get 10% discounts

I've only read one HP book. Seen the movies, though. DH likes HP, I really could take it - and the hype - or leave it, but the HP stuff at IOA is admittedly superb. Hoping that the US side will be even better (and with a little more room to breathe...!). Might do a TR during our next trip, not sure - never done one before.

If you can't get a discount for Bubba Gump and don't already have a Landry card, you could buy one and say it's your birthday while there. They cost $25, but you get that put on the card as a credit, plus you get another $25 credit to use in the month of your birthday. You can use both together to get the full $50 credit off your bill.

Wow that's really lucky for you. Sadly I don't think they would value our custom that much.

So I'm guessing you can only use the AA discount if you have breakdown cover, not insurance. Currently insured by them but that is likely to change later in the year before we go, unless they gave me a great discount and a snazzy card I could use for discount in US

Yes, I believe it is AA breakdown cover where you get the plastic AA card.
