Thank you to all of you who are now reading along!
We went to the oncologist yesterday and had a great visit. Lhea remains in remission and doesn't even have to go back to the doctor for 6 months!!! We talked a little about her sleepwalking/sleeptalking and the doctor wasn't at all concerned. She was a little concerned about Lhea's memory and said it could possibly be a side effect of the high does of chemo and methotrexate at such a young age. But there is nothing we can do medically. Next year we will see what help the school can offer. While we were there I asked about the paper saying Lhea was well enough to go and they hadn't sent it yet but assured me they would send it right away. So hopefully we will be hearing from Make A Wish again soon. I'lkeep you all updated.

Yay for a great visit!! Six months before the next appointment is awesome!! Right now Elliot is on every three months and it seems like a crazy long time, sometimes I get a little nervous like he just needs a CBC LOL

Make A Wish called this morning confirming that they have all of our paperwork and have begun to work on Lhea's wish. We will be flying out bright and early April 15 with a 7 am flight. We will return late April 21 leaving at 9pm. I like the flight times because it gives us more time in Florida. But since this is Friday -Thursday we will miss christmas at GKTW But I am NOT complaining. This is going to be a trip of a lifetime

Make A Wish called this morning confirming that they have all of our paperwork and have begun to work on Lhea's wish. We will be flying out bright and early April 15 with a 7 am flight. I am so happy for you - we are in Virginia also, but about 2 1/2 hours north - Alexandria - just outside of DC. We are also going Friday to Thursday (but my boys are a bit older so Chirtmas was not a big deal there for them). Your flight times are AWESOME. We get in about 2:45 on Friday and Leave early on Thursday. We are going this FRIDAY.

As for the spending money - having been to Disney with the 3 boys before - they have given us MORE than enough to be able to eat at the parks everyday if we wanted - including table service and to make sure the boys can all get souveniers and gas up the car. Jake did specifically ask to eat with the princesses BUT since he did not want to go to Cinderella's castle (they can arrange that) they including money to cover his breakfast (as he calls it HIS DATE) with the princesses on Saturday morning.

If you know that there is a particular reasturant you want to go to I suggest a ADR as you are going in Prime Time as it is spring break for many schools. We actually looked at going that time at April 16th is Jake's 18th birthday - BUT we wanted to go when it was less crowded as we were there Christmas Time 2 years ago.

You will have a WONDERFUL time and the weather should be ideal.

BTW we always bring in drinks and snacks - no problems (plus I have meds and a feeding pump too).

WoooHooo I think it worked. This is Lhea with her favorite christmas present. It's Princess Tiana toddler doll. She loves her!

I thought this was sleeping beauty at first, but when I looked a little closer I realized it is definately the princess and the frog!

Great to chat with the locals I would have liked to go when it was less crowded too but my kids don't catch up on missed school work well. This way they will only miss 1 day. We have no ADRs. I'm just not sure what to do. My family has such picky eaters. I think if Princess Tiana was at one of the meals then I would pay the extra money but it may just be easier to do some counter service and GKTW meals.

Looking for an update ...I hope all is well!

Thanks! I haven't updated because I just don't know what to say. Make A Wish said we probably won't hear back from them until the beginning of April and to call them if we need anything. I think we have all the details we can for now.
We decided not to do ADRs since princess Tiana isn't at any character meals and we really have no idea if we would be able to afford it yet. I think for now we mostly plan to eat at GKTW a lot and maybe a counter service meal at the parks each day.
I have started a blog since many of my family and friends will want to follow our trip and are not part of the disboards. If anyone would like to read along there too the link is http://whenyouwishuponastar2011.blogspot.com I will also keep updating here.
