A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

Still here and following along, Anita. This week has kicked my behind. I guess going back to school with a new principal is always going to hand you a few changes, but I wasn't ready for the drama that we had at the beginning of the week! (Apparently many people felt this was their opportunity to speak up about things that had been bothering them that no one else was aware of. And that was a very awkwardly worded sentence, but anyway...)

Your Epcot day looked awesome!! I'm a little nervous about going to Akershus, but I know Lily will love seeing all those princesses. (and we have Le Cellier to look forward to that night!)

Oh Shannon, I know exactly what you mean about the new principal! I think that mine must not sleep, she is up very very late filling our in box with emails! Yikes about the gripers! Did anything get resolved?

I think you will enjoy Akershus, but honestly I wish they would lower the price (lol, not going to happen) and just offer that cold buffet for lunch! I'm not sure how much of the pasta Baylor ate because he kept going back for cold cuts and strawberries! I'm just not sure he ate $35.99 worth of salami and strawberries though... Looking back at the menu I'm now thinking he ordered his entree off of the kids menu but was charged the adult price.

Wigd:

Great updates. First, your breakfast at Kona looked delish. Just when I thought I was 99.9% sure I was OK going to Brown Derby instead of picking a 1 TS dinner (which would free up an extra TS for Kona breakfast), you go and post that picture of Tonga Toast. I really, really, really want to try that because it looks sooooooo good.

I love your awesome day at Epcot. The picture with all the babies stuck to Shocker's apron is undeniably a hoot! How did you ever get him to play along? Are those games in the same side of Innoventions as the Storm Chasers, because I really want to participate in them.

I know CP already posted about your evening at Epcot together, but it is so fun to read about it again. Conner lookes so pleased to be hanging out with Baylor.

Thanks for doing such a great update this weekend. And thank shocker for the before and after pictures!

What a fun day. I have Kona high on our must eat list soon. That Tonga toast looks yummy.

EPCOT..you did a lot of fun things, good Old Donald's boatride- a favorite!

Illuminations meet---- you and Jackie, wish I could have been there too, so fun! Love all the fun stuff you brought!

Hmmmm, I'm not so sure I'd give up that Brown Derby but I just love that Cobb Salad so much that I can't imagine a Disney trip without it! If it were me, I'd go oop for the Kona breakfast! That Tonga Toast is really really good!:cutie:

Shocker loves the limelight so when they chose him to come onstage he hopped right up!
I'm pretty sure the Piggy Bank Adventure and Slapstick are not in the same building as Storm Chasers. So you will just have to go to east and west! I want to do Storm Chasers in December.

The boys had so much fun, and I was so happy to have the chance to visit with Jackie and Chelsea!

Thanks for doing such a great update this weekend. And thank shocker for the before and after pictures!
That was a very lengthy update, I'm glad you are reading. I'll tell Shocker you enjoyed his before and after pics!

Oh you should go to Kona and have some Tonga Toast, I'll bet you all will love it!

I thought of you guys when we rode it!:goodvibes

Illuminations meet---- you and Jackie, wish I could have been there too, so fun! Love all the fun stuff you brought!
I wish you could have been there too! We would have had a great time with all the kids together!

We would love to have a Dis meet with you guys someday.

The desserts looked delicious!

I thought I responded to the piggy bank thing, but I didn't see it at a glance. We saw it but didn't do it. We need to give that a try sometime.

Yes, a nice long DIS meet so the kids can play with toys!

The desserts looked delicious!
They were but for that price we won't be doing the princesses again until Harper is well old enough to enjoy it!

I thought I responded to the piggy bank thing, but I didn't see it at a glance. We saw it but didn't do it. We need to give that a try sometime.
You did and I responded but it was much the same as this one, and I said you should do it when the girls are older.....

This school stuff is killing me.....are we ready for summer yet?

AND THE WINNER WAS...............................

the other guy.....

Out of the 4 babies that made it to the apron, I only see 2 with a diaper!

What a wonderful day at Epcot--looks like it was full of fun, laughs, and manpris! Topped with a DISmeet! :thumbsup2 The pics of the boys together are great, looks like they could cause some ruckus together...;)

Yep, I already have mush brain, and we've only just begun! I found it rather wonderful, however, on Friday, to talk to my students about all of the things we were going to learn, and I never had to mention TCAP once!

This will feel like a very long day, I'm sure - first full day with kids. They'll be worn out, and so will we.

The October trip will be a nice reward at the end of the nine weeks. :)

It's cool that Connor and Baylor got along so well. You guys need to find somebody with some girls Chelsea's age for your next 'meet up' so she can have a pal.

I enjoyed your update. I am glad you got to meet some dis friends. Your Disney days always sound perfect!

Talk about a rule breaker!

Yes, we had a great day and I do believe those two could have caused quite a ruckus together!

No state testing for 2nd grade is quite a relief! My brain is filling a bit mushy at the moment too!

You are right we were all really tired at the end of the day, besides not sleeping last night I'm just beat, how are you?

The October trip will be a nice reward at the end of the nine weeks. :)
Oh how I will be longing for that October trip, it was wonderful last year. Besides not wanting to ask for days off in the new building, our exchange student just doesn't seem to have the funds for more than one Disney trip this year.
I wonder if I can find a place for him to hang out during spring break.....

It's cool that Connor and Baylor got along so well. You guys need to find somebody with some girls Chelsea's age for your next 'meet up' so she can have a pal.
Well we could have Laura come and bring Hannah and Emily, then we would have Harper to play with Bella and Luke.....That leaves poor Chelsea with nobody.....hmmmmm, maybe Christine could come and bring ........ Hey guys we need to plan a big DIS meet!

I enjoyed your update. I am glad you got to meet some dis friends. Your Disney days always sound perfect!

We had some really good days this last trip!

Wig, fabulous trip report. Loved Harper's cake and her birthday dress was precious. Sorry Citricos was not good for you. You and Marc have figured out the secret to avoiding the total sugar rush from the Tonga Toast. My friend and I split the toast and the omlette. Sometimes we do it among three of us with a fruit plate as the third "entree". Love the photos of Baylor with all the princesses. Such a ladies man :)

Ok, so what's up with the basketballs? You've left us hanging...

Was the gift at Welcome Home Wed. the tote bag and not the baseball hat?

Okay, just HAD to say I am on page 82 after being gone for 2 weeks ....:scared1:

BUT I loved your post on Park Faire and Toontown! At least Mickey and Minnie's houses!!! We have never visited Mickey's house! I have to do that one next trip!

This catch up is going to take me all day. Thank goodness I am going to work today :rotfl:

What a GREAT update! There were so many things I loved I had to write them down as I read along!!
In no particular order:
Loved the picture of you and Shocker! :thumbsup2
Shocker and Baylor's hats! :rotfl2:
Lots of manpris....seem to be a lot in Epcot or is it just me?:)
Babies on apron! :lmao:
Innoventions....a lot of neat things going on in here.....I remember seeing some of them but unfortunately passed a lot of them by
Dismeet with CP
School bread....thanks for the picture.....I know a lot of people rave about this and I will eat just about anything, or at least try it once and I always forget about it....is is similar to anything you have ever had before?

Tracy

Yeah, a dismeet! So fun!!

Love Shocker with those baby dolls, so funny!

Your dinner looked so good. I cannot talk my DH into going there. I think he knows we have many Princess meals in our future so he is trying to hold off as long as possible.

I am so amazed at all of those manpris! I have never noticed it, but I have a feeling I will in October. :)

Here is a picture of the guy who beat me in the contest and none of his babies still have their diapers! :rotfl2::cool1::lmao::rotfl::banana:

Yes, we do!
Oh my gosh, we would have such a grand visit!
So, those are your lips Wig'd and that's you Shocker??? You turned into her handsome prince huh?
Your update was GINORMOUS!! Loved it:love:
Yay for DIS meets and yay for Epcot day!

I wish those were my lips! I'm afraid that mine aren't nearly as pretty as hers.
That update was rather large.....:rotfl2: but it was a great day and an awesome DIS meet!

Wig, fabulous trip report. Loved Harper's cake and her birthday dress was precious.
Thanks Ros!:goodvibes
Sorry Citricos was not good for you.
You know some people love it, but let's just say it wasn't our cup of tea.
You and Marc have figured out the secret to avoiding the total sugar rush from the Tonga Toast. My friend and I split the toast and the omlette. Sometimes we do it among three of us with a fruit plate as the third "entree".
I think I got the idea of splitting it from you!

Love the photos of Baylor with all the princesses. Such a ladies man :)
Hahaha, I'll be sure to tell him you said that!:lmao:

Ok, so what's up with the basketballs? You've left us hanging...
More on the basketballs on our last morning update.... :headache:
Was the gift at Welcome Home Wed. the tote bag and not the baseball hat?
It was the tote, and then we just plain forgot to go over for the next Welcome Home Wed. darn it!

Okay, just HAD to say I am on page 82 after being gone for 2 weeks ....:scared1:
Catching up can be a real pain! I'm glad you're back and can't wait to read all about your latest adventure!

BUT I loved your post on Park Faire and Toontown! At least Mickey and Minnie's houses!!! We have never visited Mickey's house! I have to do that one next trip!
I think the boys would have a blast checking out Mickey's and Minnie's houses. Minnie has more things to sit on and touch!:goodvibes

This catch up is going to take me all day. Thank goodness I am going to work today :rotfl:
So are you saying that you are reading trip reports at work?!?:rotfl:

lol, I did that once when I borrowed my daughters laptop. I forgot to sign in as myself!:lmao:
I'm glad that I'm not the only one.....:rolleyes1
What a GREAT update! There were so many things I loved I had to write them down as I read along!!
I need to take a lesson from you and take notes when I read trippies as well!

Loved the picture of you and Shocker!
Baylor is doing really well with the camera, thanks! (can you believe I let him touch Ashton?)
Shocker and Baylor's hats! :rotfl2:
Lots of manpris....seem to be a lot in Epcot or is it just me?
Nope, not just you there seem to be lots more manpris in Epcot.
Babies on apron!
Was anyone else thinking mama animal with nursing babies?:rotfl2:
Innoventions....a lot of neat things going on in here.....I remember seeing some of them but unfortunately passed a lot of them by
Make it a goal to at least try one per trip! Some of them are really fun!
Dismeet with CP
It was fun, I'm really hoping that we can do it again!
School bread....thanks for the picture.....I know a lot of people rave about this and I will eat just about anything, or at least try it once and I always forget about it....is is similar to anything you have ever had before?

Maybe the closest would be a Bismark, or any Bavarian creme filled pastry.

Yeah, a dismeet! So fun!!
It was some of the best fun we had!:goodvibes

Love Shocker with those baby dolls, so funny!
Shocker and his litter of piglets was more like it! I think pigs since the babies were so pink and so many....:lmao:

Your dinner looked so good. I cannot talk my DH into going there. I think he knows we have many Princess meals in our future so he is trying to hold off as long as possible.
I can't say that I blame him, it was quite pricey! We won't go back until Harper is at least 4 or 5 years old.

I am so amazed at all of those manpris! I have never noticed it, but I have a feeling I will in October. :)
You will have to practice up on your stealth photography and take some pictures for me!
