Tag! It's your turn!![]()
I think a birthday cruise would be perfect, think of all the fun we could have!
what no update or are you waiting for me to do an update first![]()
Okay, I just have to tell this one: DS and DDIL went to Texas for interviews for teaching jobs, which they got and are moving July 4th. Anyway, the school district is in a small farming town. So during the interview, the principal said to DS, "We work bale to bale around here."
He just nodded, but was thinking, "stacking hay bales?"
The vice principal knew they were a little puzzled, so he said, "did we give you a copy of the bell schedule?" So you see, we are a little challenged out here!![]()

Tonight or tomorrow, for sure!
I thought so too.....Okay THIS was HIGH-larious.
OH my my my....![]()
Boy, won't that be the day!Soon you will be bilingual!
Ok my update is done too! I will try and get another done tonight or tom. Of course I need to go grocery shopping. We havent been since before vacation and my fridge is so bare. Though I dont have a lot of room in my freezer and I have a stand up huge freezer. I am starting that new diet and need stuff for it.
Okay, so on the "other" forum (TGM) they're giving me heck for going concierge & DxDP. But I just love staying concierge for the service and we always pick up breakfast in the lounge because we're not big breakfast eaters. Am I crazy?? I'm so confused about what to do.
Anyway, what I was going to post about was a speakin' Southern story. I moved to Tennessee from South Carolina. While my native speech is about as much of a drawl as y'all can imagine, the Tennessee twang (think Dolly Parton and Hee Haw) is a whole different animal. So, one day I stopped at a store because I was looking for oil (think 2 syllables there now) for some project or another. I asked the man and he said that they didn't have any. But he told me to try the "Tar" store up the road. I nodded and listened the directions, the whole time thinking, "They have a whole store for tar??" You probably guessed it -- when I arrived I realized it was a TIRE store that he was sending me to!
CP and Happydog, sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, I keep missing posts.![]()
MeMom, our end of May, first of June trip will be cutting it very close next summer. Our school calendar doesn't have us getting out until right before Memorial Day and it's a late holiday next year. Soooo, if we have bunches of snow days we will be really nervous. Never the less we are going ahead with our plans.....
So far we have never had to make up a snow day and I'm hoping we have a mild winter because nothing should get in the way of a Disney vacation.......
Hahaha! That was a funny story, I wish I was from the south, so I could have that accent too, but sometimes I wish I was from the UK so I could have that accent........hmmmmm, I guess I'm fickle!
I think you need to stick with your dining plan and type of resort stay if you are comfortable with it, it's your vacation after all!
Lol, I just did, and I sent you a PM too....No problem! You can make it up to me by updating tonight...
So, what are you thinking for your dates down at Disney?
Good plan Jennifer!I so totally agree. We like the dxddp, but we dont always eat 3 meals each day. But where you are not we are huge breakfast fans. I am thinking of doing a few dinners that take 2 ts credits for dinners. My husband wasnt crazy about the crt for dinner so im think maybe I can talk him in to tring breakfast since the kids did like it. I really dont think it is worth the money, but it is more the experience you are paying for and I loved that. I think my kids enjoyed the idea of just eating in the castle.
We are staying at akv a 1 bd for 7 nights of our next trip and for what it is costing me we could stay for a lot longer at a value resort, but we about the same as a mod. I know we will love the experience and part of the reason for us chosing there is to get my hubby to fall in love with dvc.![]()
I'm waiting paitenly for the update. I'll be on later.![]()
well I guess you were updating while I was posting lol![]()
What great updates!!! I had no idea about the McDonald's! So many non-typical McDonald's choices! How were the prices?
It would have been so cool to check out the Cast Member warehouse -- what treasures must await in there!
How were the character outlets? Did you find any good deals?
Baylor riding the bull!
McDonalds had very reasonable prices, I think mine might have been $6.95.
I was chomping at the bit to get in that warehouse........oh well, maybe next time.
The outlet had some good stuff, I got some goodies for Harper and the girls that were babysitting our tortoise..
I would expect the same pose from Connor on that bull.![]()
Welcome back Laura! I think I might have missed putting in a couple of links, did you get to see our meet up with LL?
I'm waiting for a few minutes to gather my thoughts........today or tomorrow, and I do need to check on LL, I believe she is next..
I think I have you to thank for this whole episode.......
Oh that was really funny,I would have thought the same thing here because we are in a small community with lots of bales out in the fields!

Yep, that's how a lot of people talk around here. (Tawk arou-yund hee-yer, that is.) Now with a growing Hispanic population, our school is 1/3 Hispanic, 1/3 African-American, and 1/3 Caucasian Country. You can only imagine some of the accents and conversations I hear daily. Very interesting.
