This summer we skipped Disney World in favor of a much more relaxed vacation so off we went to Vero Beach. We had a 2 bedroom villa for my family (myself, DH, son 10 and son 12) and my brothers family (bro, wife, and 15 month old son otherwise known as the boss).
Checkin was smooth and took all of 3 minutes it was 4:15 pm and our accomodations were ready. We entered our room to find we had recieved a first floor villa with a large patio instead of a small balcony. There was mild dissappointment that we didn't have an ocean view. Oh well.
We unpacked , got settled and headed out for an early dinner at the Patio. Our group enjoyed it but my brother felt it was just sos so. After that off to pick up groceries at Winn Dixie and back to the resort.
The next few days were spent lying on the beach and enjoying the wildlife. During our stay we saw a manatee not even 10 feet off the beach and she was HUGE!!!! We also saw dolphins, a shark and a baby loggerhead sea turtle making its way to the ocean from its nest. All the above mentioned were seen during either high tide in the morning or high tide in evening.
My kids didn't participate in many activities this trip but we did play tennis, putt-putt, basketball, and bingo.
We didn't get to enjoy snorkeling this trip because of Cristobal. The water was just to murky!
If you have any questions about this resort please feel free to ask!!!
