The day you've all been waiting for!! Lisa's wedding day!! Yayyyy!
We woke up fairly early and I got all dressed already for the wedding. I was going to head over to the Grand Floridian to help Lisa, her mom, and sister get ready.
Me, DDad, and DSM all headed over to the GF for another breakfast at the GF Cafe. Another yummy meal and great coffee! As I was finishing up I get a text from Lisa asking me if I can run around and see if I can find a hair net. A hair net?! WHERE am I going to find a hair net at the GF?! lol so after breakfast me and the fam start wandering around and asking everyone we could find. I went into the sundries store and asked and no luck. Then upstairs to the woman's boutique...no luck. Finally I went to the front desk and they were really helpful. They called the wedding pavilion and a few other places for me but...no luck. Sorry Lisa!!! I call their room and they said not to go crazy looking for it anymore so I said goodbye to my dad and stepmom and headed on my way to help out the bride!
As I get outside I run into Lisa's dad heading into the lobby. Wish him luck and continue on my way!
Snapped a photo of the wedding pavilion from their building...
I run upstairs and get inside to the relief of Lisa's mom and sister. Apparently Lisa wasn't in a good mood because her hair already started falling out (hence the need of the hairnet...she has the longest hair EVER). I think Lisa just needed a non-family member to tell her that everything looked great and then she was fine after that! When I go there they were already working on her makeup so I pulled out my camera and started snapping away!
Lisa started to relax and we just spent the rest of the morning getting everyone ready and joking around.
Lori taking a smoke break on the balcony..
Finally it was time to get the dress on, which we knew would be a long process! Lisa definitely bought the heaviest wedding dress and the hot Florida weather wasn't cooperating with cooling down! After getting all the undergarments on and underskirt (whatever it's called...I'm also saving Lisa and not going to post all those pictures...lol) we finally got her into the dress and I started lacing the whole back up little by little and as tight as I could.
The finished product (sorry no pics..I was the one helping with the dress!)
Her sisters dress was just as complicated to put on so I then moved over to hep Lori. The whole time they were calling us from downstairs saying the photographer was waiting! yikes! After making sure that everyone's shoes and stuff were on right, I gathered up Lisa's dress and we ran out of the room as fast as we could. Running from the building to the lobby we heard lots of congrats and well wishes. It was cute!
When we finally made it to the lobby, the photographer wasted no time in taking photos. I have to ask Lisa what his name was because he was really nice! He helped me out with my photography and gave me pointers on how to take better wedding photos. I forget where he was from but he said being a wedding photographer for Disney has been hands down his favorite job ever. Here's a bunch of photos from the lobby!
Lisa's friend Nicole also met up with us in the lobby so after pictures were finished, we left Lisa and her dad and headed over to the limo to get to the Wedding Pavilion.
Like Lori's matching sneakers? hehehe
Nicole and I hung back and waited for Lisa's grand entrance with her dad while everyone else went inside to say hi to the fam.
Now time for her big entrance! It definitely took my breath away and I got all choked up. The wedding is finally happening!
K....I'll continue in a bit with the ceremony!
