A Very Lurkyloo Christmas is FINISHED! New 3/16: Last Day of the Trip!

The ADRs look great. I wish we could do bluezoo. It's definitely one we are going to add if we decide against the Deluxe DDP.

I have been going back and forth and back and forth about MVMCP. The date we would go is the same date you decided you are going. I think I'm going to wait to see how MNSSHP goes in October and if it's just huge tons of fun---I'll do it. If it is a waste, I won't. We'll see!! :santa:

That sounds like a good plan! I've heard MVMCP isn't as good as MNSSHP, so if you hate MNSSHP, you'll definitely hate MVMCP! :rotfl: But then maybe the people saying that were Halloween fans and not Christmas fans...

Great ADR's!!! You did a really good job. We are eating at Plaza for the first time ever in November. I'm really excited!! I told DH after I read your last TR that we have to try that place. The milkshake just looked too darned good!! :lmao:

Don't forget to ask for chocolate ice cream *and* chocolate syrup! :thumbsup2

The Wave was good, both times we have been... First last Nov when it was new, I thought was "better" than this past June/July trip, but DH liked it both times. Blue Agave Margarita... that is all I am going to say, and the dessert "samplers" were very good. We had the lettuce cups I think, as well.

This is great to hear!

Oh! let me tell you about a lovely waiter there at 50s Prime Time.... I think his name was Todd, I will double check, HIGHlarious fellow, very droll and played the "tired waiter" very well... maybe too well  Nah, he was delightful and FUNNY... Really got my DH a few times... OH, and in one TR I read the DH didn't like greens which came with his meal, and the waitress said WHADAYA mean you don't like greens? And she took them away and came back with the plate COVERED with whipped cream and sprinkles... And made him take a bite! Betcha your DH won't like that "gimmick"

I'm gonna keep mum on the "interactive" nature of the place and see how DH reacts. Also, I'm going to keep more of those Ziplocs in my purse so I can dispose of unwanted veggies without having them returned to me under a layer of whipped cream and sprinkles! :lmao:

Live Blog from D23 Expo!

OK, we're leaving for D23 Expo super-early tomorrow, and I'll be Tweeting and live-blogging all four days! (Not sure yet how I'm going to divide that up - now that I know how to post pix on Twitter it's almost as good as the blog!)

To follow along, check out

Blog: http://www.lurkyloodoeswdw.blogspot.com/

Twitter: http://twitter.com/lurkyloo

Also, I just noticed that I'm 2 people away from having 100 followers, so I'll be bringing back a cheapo D23 Expo souvenir for the 100th person to sign up! (Sleazy Twitter spammers with 0 followers, a bazillion followings, and a single dirty tweet need not apply :rotfl:)

See ya real soon! :wave2:

Whooo-hooooo! :yay:

I wanted to go, but, alas, I didn't win the contest.

I'll follow it on the web, since I haven't gotten with the program and joind the Twitter Nation. :goodvibes

I'm number 100 on Twitter! While I have no followers, I assure you I am no spammer. I have bee putting off signing up so I could tweet & blog in October and winning a prize sure to be as awesome as the blinky eyeball from the horse poo caption contest was too much to resist. :)

Let me know how you do! :thumbsup2

Well I did good and not so good. I was able to book online before 6am and got everything I wanted up to 12/18 but then was blocked out do to the split ressie's! :headache: So now I have to call back on the 15th to get the rest of them through the 22nd. Stinks but so far all good so I can't complain too much I guess.

Awesome job on the ADR's! Some of them actually look very similar to mine! :thumbsup2 We have Coral Reef (lunch 12/18), Jiko (dinner 12/16), Bistro de Paris (dinner 12/18) and Le Cellier (lunch 12/20 although i wasn't able to book it yet) just like you! They are all new restaurants for us so we are pretty excited :hyper: Do we have any that fall on the same day?

I'm #102! :) Can't wait to hear all about it!

Great ADR picks! I've never been to 50's but have never had the interest in going. Hopefully, whether you love it or hate it you'll both agree so you won't have to do any more wifely duties of going to 50's when he loves it and you, well, don't.

I hope you like Biergarten (sp?). We've been a few times and I hope to go back in the future. I do love the atmosphere and some of the food just not crazy about sitting with other people (last time we were sat with 3 other couples that sat in complete silence so we were trying to whisper our conversation so they weren't just listening to us yammer on the whole time, hopefully you'll get better table companions or none at all!). Also, stay away from the knuckle! I have no idea what it is (it's like a big bone with pieces of meat tucked away like hide and seek) but after watching someone else eat it at our table I was done eating for awhile .

Can't wait to hear all about your second try at Bistro! I want to get my bf to eat here so bad but he hates fine dining type of places. Maybe I could sneak it in...:rolleyes1

Yay for the Plaza!! It's my favorite MK restaurant. I also can't wait to see another trough of Thousand Island dressing :thumbsup2

I'm glad you're trying MVMCP and CP package mainly for selfish reasons. That just means more parts to the TR we get to read ;)

Also, I'm going to keep more of those Ziplocs in my purse so I can dispose of unwanted veggies without having them returned to me under a layer of whipped cream and sprinkles! :lmao:

Oh yes, I FORGOT that you don't like your veggies!!! :rotfl2: Yeah that could be you!!

Have a great time at the EXPO!

Love you ADR selections. I thought the food at the Wave was very good. I hope you enjoy it. I like the little sampler desserts they have. It was just the right amount of dessert for me. And, of course, I love any place that includes a smoothy as a beverage on the dining plan because I am always starved by meal time and I would rather fill up on a smoothy then bread.

Looking forward to reading about the D23 expo.

Well done getting the ADRs :thumbsup2 I too do the cut outs of everything and then swapp them around. David Bowie actually used that sort of technique to write some of his songs. He would write a poem or just random words and then rearrange them into lyrics ;)

I like your choices, we're trying Kouzinna so will let you know what we thought.
Love the Yachtsman :lovestruc hope we'll get to do it Dec 2010 :cool1:
We enjoyed the Wave - breakfast and dinner - it was nice to have more healthy options and the desserts were really cool, I love having more than one thing so they were the perfect size :goodvibes

Have a great time at the expo, will be watching your Tweets and Blogs

Your ADR's sound Fab-ulous!!!! I think we all stress ourselves out when it comes to ADR making time.

Hope you have a great time at the D23 Expo.....will be following your tweets/blog.

OK, here's how I did with my ADRs...

Kouzzina: This one’s a natural because we check in to the BoardWalk on our first evening and can just walk over, plus I want to try it cuz it’s new! We may also end up eating breakfast there sometime during our stay.

Speaking of, here's a lil preview of my TR... some Kouzzina pics:

When I heard that the Expo was today on the news, I knew you'd be there live Tweeting! Thanks for the peek into your world!

I love your ADR choices! It's fun to see why you made the choices you did.

I'm famous! I met Madame Lurkyloo for all of 10 seconds yesterday. I can assure you she is just as lovely in person as she appears online.

Oh, and Autograph signing takes place to the left.

Wow! Lucky you! :yay:

I wonder how much that autograph would get me on ebay...:scratchin

Carrie,
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your live blogging from the D23 Expo........I can't wait til you come back here to tell us all about it. I can't believe all the cool people you got to hear speak...Imagineers & John Lasseter, etc. I am looking very forward to hearing about all the Muppet stuff too!!!!

P.S. I finally started my pre-trippie.

Carrie the D23 Expo looked awesome! What a very cool thing to be able to go through and experience! Thank you for sharing it with us so we can all enjoy.

Can't wait for your full TR on it!

:rotfl: We have no shame - we will yammer on no matter what our tablemates are like. You should have seen the people next to us at the Toy Story 3D screening last night rolling their eyes as we complained to each other about the way seating was handled in the arena! :teeth:

Can't wait to hear all about your second try at Bistro! I want to get my bf to eat here so bad but he hates fine dining type of places. Maybe I could sneak it in...:rolleyes1

What?!! :scared1: Why?!! Is it cuz he thinks he'll be uncomfortable there or that the waiters are all snooty and the food is too fancy? All he needs is a healthy sense of superiority and the knowledge that it's all the same steak, chicken and fish, just with fancy descriptions!

I also can't wait to see another trough of Thousand Island dressing

:rotfl2: Oh my... is that what I'll be forever remembered for?

Oh yes, I FORGOT that you don't like your veggies!!! :rotfl2: Yeah that could be you!!

Have a great time at the EXPO!

Thanks! Not only did we have an interesting time, we successfully avoided veggies for 4 days, thanks to a steady diet of convention hall food.

Oh good! I'm glad to get your recommendation. Sampler desserts sound great!

If only I had known this trick when I went through my pretentious indie songwriter phase in college - I might actually have finished a song! :rotfl:

I like your choices, we're trying Kouzinna so will let you know what we thought.

Oh please do - and thanks for following along during the Expo! :goodvibes

Thanks for following along! It's good to know someone was reading my inane posts about fudge and long lines and merchandise...

Ooooh! Thanks for posting! :thumbsup2

When I heard that the Expo was today on the news, I knew you'd be there live Tweeting! Thanks for the peek into your world!

I'm sorry my world was so boring for so much of the time. :lmao: Half the time my iPhone had been confiscated and the other half I was standing in line!

I'm famous! I met Madame Lurkyloo for all of 10 seconds yesterday. I can assure you she is just as lovely in person as she appears online.

:rotfl: I tried to find you again but I couldn't! Was that the only day you were there? I wanted to have an actual conversation, but I figured if I didn't do as the CM told me I'd never get back into the presentation to meet DH.

Hooray! I'll check it out. I'm so glad you enjoyed the copious coverage of D23. I was shocked to find I was one of only a handful of people Tweeting from the event (or at least, only a handful were reTweeted as being a source of updates like I got to be). :confused3

Carrie the D23 Expo looked awesome! What a very cool thing to be able to go through and experience! Thank you for sharing it with us so we can all enjoy.

Can't wait for your full TR on it!

I can't wait to write it! I sure have a lot of opinions to share....

Oh my... is that what I'll be forever remembered for?

Townsend_Family_Headstone.jpg

Well, ONE of the things...:rotfl:

Yes, I think bf is anti-fine dining because he thinks 1) servers will talk down to him, 2)he thinks he'll get two bites of food, and 3) it absolutely terrifies him to eat somehwere that a TV is not offered for viewing of some form of sport and nacho's and/or wings do not show up on the menu.

Oh, and can't wait to hear more about the Expo! LOVE that more muppets will be appearing!

:rotfl2:

That is HIGH-larious! I will have to keep that pic on hand for posterity, to make their job easier when the time comes...
