Scotty won his first race!!!

Whoo Hoo go Scotty...nice to have something good this week I am sure.

I'm doing good, just watching the NBA playoffs today and waiting till tomorrow to watch the rest of the games. Me and my bro have bought a nice Samsung HD TV for her. We also plan to take the rest of the family to brunch at a nice restaurant tomorrow (not a cheap restaurant, a real restaurant). But she has not been feeling well the last few days and we might have to cancel it. But she will like the TV for her room.

Good kids! I finally caved to the expense of our HDTV last summer and with the addition of the surround sound we got as a Christmas gift it has quite changed the experience of watching movies at home. I think she will love it. I hope she feels better and you are able to take her out tomorrow.

I got a nice HDTV for her, but my parents don't have HD satellite for the TV. I told them to get it since you can get the best out of the HDTV. They will consider it one day, but it is still good to watch Blu ray movies and watch regular TV shows. I'm hoping for the same thing that my mom will feel better for tomorrow. TY Sherri.

just checking in for the evening. our bedroom furniture (that we ordered months ago) finally arrived today. I don't know who my DH ordered from, but this was our worst online ordering experiance ever. They were really quick to take our money, but somehow our order got shipped out of state. twice. the warehouse is in CA. Then late last week, I get a call saying that our order is due to arrive on Tuesday between 12-3. Cool. Tuesday AM I get a call saying "I understand you want to reschedule your delivery date?" "uh, no" I say. "Can you hold on a minute please" hold music for a minute. Lady "I, sorry, I miss spoke. We need to reschdule your delivery date because we don't have the entire order here, yet" Me "When will our order be here?" Lady "Saturday, we'll give you a call to let you know your time frame". Me (sighing)"Okay". The did deliver in thier window and assembled the bed for us.

& Kirsten, how annoying that sounds. At least you got it finally! I do lots of online shopping, and luckily haven't had any issues like that. Was it on back order when you ordered it, or was the company just slow? Was it from like a well known place or somewhere kinda different? Months is a long time to wait for furniture!

No, not backordered. Everything was in stock. As far as I know, the company has a good reputation. Thier warehouse is in CA and we live in CA but somehow, in order to get here, the order had to go through NJ. Then, they had to split up the order so it could get lost in transport. The owner/manager called us a couple times and appologized. He said there is no reason for this to happen and he'll take care of it personally. It still took a month and a half after he took over.

I'm REALLY tired today. I guess my body liked having those 3 days off in a row and is protesting having had to return to work.

Kirsten - That is a LONG time to wait for an order. I hope they gave you some sort of compensation for the long wait!

It is a nice gift for her since she has a very old TV in her room and it was time for a new TV for her room. She has the flu and she is getting better. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow and get out of the house.

No question I am happy that the Kings will be in Sacramento for another year. The only thing I am worried right now is will they be here after next season. It only depends on the city of Sacramento to get a new sports arena for the Kings in the future. If they don't, they leave after next season. I am hoping that it gets done and I don't want them to be the Anaheim Royals or whatever city they go to.

Looks like I past the 2000 post mark just awhile ago.

I hope your mom is better today. I think that Sacramento needs to do what they can to keep the Kings. Sacramento is a dream town for a sports team, they have some of the most loyal fans out there.

I hope your mom is better today. I think that Sacramento needs to do what they can to keep the Kings. Sacramento is a dream town for a sports team, they have some of the most loyal fans out there.

We are in Fairfield, so we aren't that far from Sacramento. It is an easy drive. I bring my kids to Sacramento a lot to see concerts.

Oh yeah, I believe it is less than an hour drive to Sacramento. It would be nice when Sacramento gets a new arena when they bring live events. It is outdated and the city could use a new entertainment arena. We will have to wait and see if the city approves for a new arena.

Now next month they are going to two different concerts in San Francisco. One daughter is going with a friend to one concert and the other daughter, son and my son's BFF are going to a different concert about 15 miles away. They are one the same night so Scotty and I are going to hang out in San Francisco. I am sure we will find lots of stuff to do.
