I have the room paid for I just am not decided on a date. If I get the sneak peek then my husband Scotty and I will head down for a couple of nights. If not then I will save the room for a little while.

I think it may take a bit longer than this weekend. My sister died last Monday plus there were other things that went on so it unfortunately isn't a quick fix.

I am sorry that you had a long week at work that is rough.

That is good to hear that you have a room ready if you get selected for the sneak peek. Hope you get selected and also another great TR to read.

I am sorry to hear about your sister.

It's np, just need to pay the bills and the rooms for these upcoming trips.

Thank you Bret. We are also in the pre-planning stage of a trip in 2012 to most likely go to WDW. So either way there is going to be a trip report and I have the room so there will be trip to Disneyland just not sure exactly when.

Thank you. It was a totally unexpected thing.

Well, that money is needed to take care of the business of life.

I'm glad to hear that. :) Pre-planning a trip to WDW next year, you must be really excited about it. If you don't mind me asking, what months is your family deciding on going? Can't wait to read another great TR from you. If you don't go during the sneak peek, I would suggest going to DL during the Halloween or Holday season.

We are talking about going in November of 2012, and it will just be Scotty and I. I would love to go at Halloween time. I love villains, and from everything I have seen there are more out then. Who knows though. We shall see.

That is a good time to go down to WDW in November since the Holiday decorations should be up by then. It's good for the two of you to go down at WDW without the kids. The Halloween season has become more and more popular at DL the last couple of years. Going during the Halloween season means more Disney villains than the regular days at DL. Looking forward to hear what you will be doing.

I don't know if you're still out there. I was just getting caught up in my reading here this morning. I know this subject was from a couple of days ago, but I wanted to tell you that you do a great job with the Quests - and seeing that I was the one who gave you the ideas for a couple of the big Quests, I definitely have to disagree with Jessica in that I don't think they are old and tired at all!

In fact, I think these Quests help us all see the parks in totally new ways and help us notice details that we definitely would have otherwise overlooked. Plus, it adds an element of excitement to seek out certain things on trips - you never know where you will find the 'thing' you are looking for (like the hearts in Heart Quest, for example). If it's a good quest, it can be both informative and fun. Obviously you're not going to do crazy things like Cement Quest, where you just walk around and photograph the pavement all day!:rotfl2: It's going to be something interesting, whether it's hearts or signs or flowers or lamps or bathroom signs or weather vanes...etc.

I have a whole list of Quests that I have been keeping for the last couple of years - some of them have been done by other people; some haven't. But I keep the quests as a back-up in case I suddenly feel like I need something new to do at DLR....if I need to put a new spin on my trips.

You keep doing those Quests as long as they are fun for you and as long as you enjoy them - because we definitely enjoy seeing the photos!

I have a hunch you will be selected for the ST2 preview. I have a hunch we all might be selected, but we may not find out until right before the day approaches. There were a bunch of options listed for when to see it and I checked all of them. I have a feeling that Disney will find a way to make sure a lot of AP holders get to see it. If I win, I may only be able to stand riding it once (I suspect it's going to be a lot more rollicking and jerky than the original ST) but that's enough!

Sherry I hope your right! I checked all the options for days and times of going too. I hope they give at least a weeks notice. I would love to go! :goodvibes I'm the only person I know (besides DISers) with an AP so I'd be traveling alone, unless I can drag a friend to go with me, but miss the ride!

Jillian - I hope I am right too!:rotfl2: Without that AP preview, that is going to be one long line to stand in for a while!:scared1: I remember when Star Tours first opened back in the '80s - the line was literally so long that once it wound around in the queue, it ended up extending out past the hub area where Partners is!:scared1:

I can just picture that sneaky Disney letting us know we won with really short notice! Two weeks would be nice.

I think they are allowing all of the winners to take 4 or 5 other AP holders, right? So even if we don't get picked, other AP holders can take us? Is that how it works? Well, even though I still have a feeling we will all get chosen for one time or another, if I happen to get picked and someone else doesn't, I'd be happy to share my other 4-5 slots with other AP holders who want to see ST2!!

What I really, really, really wish is that DLR would do a Little Mermaid preview - I would want to see that one even more that ST2, I think, and that Little Mermaid line is going to be awful for a long time too.

I would LOVE a Little Mermaid preview too! I am also more interested in that in ST2, also because ST2 will have FP and LM won't (from what I have heard).
When I entered the contest I remember it asking me how many APers would be in my party and I clicked on one. I don't remember reading about bringing 4-5 other APers, but then again, I don't really read the rules thoroughly. I just kinda glance over to make sure I am able to enter:laughing:.
But it would be cool if a bunch of us DISers got to go on the same day and do a meet up! :woohoo:

I'm still here Sherry, trying to plan everything when I go to DL in late May during Memorial Day weekend. Thank you for the compliments on the Quests. I need to do something if I am just by myself at DL during these trips. It does feel boring if I don't do something challenging when I am at DL. Ever since the Tree/Quest in November, it has been fun to go back to DL and do these Quests. Jessica has her opinion of the quests and I have np of what she says. They never get old and tired to me since I am mostly at DL by myself. It also makes it more interesting when I am with someone that cares a lot about Disney. Most of my family members are just average or don't care Disney people. That is kind of sad, but that is how they feel and I can't force them to like it.

No question that these Quests have help everyone find things in the park that we don't notice too much. These Quests make it very interesting to do everytime I go to DL. During my early days when I was in the park solo, it was excited to go to DL. I would be really crazy to do a Cement Quest. :rotfl2: There will always be something very interesting to take while I am down there and these Quests do make it happen.

After the Music Quest, I will decide on another Quest during my June trip. I will look forward to the next Quest idea you have in mind Sherry.

Definitely, it is fun to do these Quests and make me all energetic.

It will be nice if we all do get selected for the ST2 sneak peek. If I do get selected and could take 4-5 AP with me, I would be glad to take anyone on the days that I get selected.

Goodluck on the job front.
Oh you should, DL misses you.
Thank you :goodvibes It should miss me :snooty: :rotfl:

Hi! :)
I don't think I could take it being so close to DLR and not stop in for a quick visit. Having an AP is amazing! I remember on my last visit, the morning we were supposed to be leaving, after my friends' tickets all expired, I still had my AP, so I just popped in to DCA while they were all getting ready & packing and ate some breakfast and did a little shopping. It was so fun and relaxing. Everyone was rushing to TSMM and I was just taking it easy with my tea. :goodvibes
:thumbsup2 I know, isn't it lovely? I don't think I could handle not having an AP. This trip is a perfect example. We'll be arriving in the LA area late on Friday, DLR is open to midnight - let's pop in DL :) Stay through Sunday so we can cruise around DLR :)

Hello!! I bought our tickets for the halloween party at wdw today!! other than food/souvinears, our entire trip is paid for.
:cool1:

I'm doing good Michele, how about u? It just have been exhausting today with my pre-plan for my May trip. I just can't do a complete plan until I know what times my school is playing at DL and see if I get lucky with the ST2 sneak peek.
:goodvibes

I loved Bret's sign quest. I saw signs that I had never noticed before. And the quizzes really tickled my brain.

I hope you are right Sherry. I have those two night at the Ayre's and my AP. Two of the big things are taken care of!!

Interestingly enough I was there the day it originally opened. I didn't ride it until 2005 for the first time. How's that for waiting a long time to ride a ride.

That will be good to hear Michele. I really enjoyed your last TR and looking forward to the WDW TR.

I loved Bret's sign quest. I saw signs that I had never noticed before. And the quizzes really tickled my brain.

The sign quest was great and this quest during my trip will be the music quest. With Soundsational and watching my school band playing that weekend, it is a good quest to do during my visit. I will do quizzes of what musical instrument, horn, whistle, etc. belongs to that particular land.

How u doing today Michele?

Thank you Bret.

Oh I think a music quest will be fun, and I will get my son involved with reading it. He is a trombone player and loves all music.

I am a little better I think. My husband Scotty had a bicycle race and he won his very first race!! That kind of improved the week for us.

Got to thank Sherri for the idea, since I am going to see and hear music all weekend, it does make sense to do a music/sound quest. Now I got to look for a lot of places at the DLR that has a musical instrument or items that produce sounds. That is neat that your son plays the trombone.

Congrats to your husband Scotty for winning his first bicycle race.

How are you? Do you have plans to spoil your mom tomorrow?

Thank you Bret.

How are you? Do you have plans to spoil your mom tomorrow?

I'm doing good, just watching the NBA playoffs today and waiting till tomorrow to watch the rest of the games. Me and my bro have bought a nice Samsung HD TV for her. We also plan to take the rest of the family to brunch at a nice restaurant tomorrow (not a cheap restaurant, a real restaurant). But she has not been feeling well the last few days and we might have to cancel it. :sad1: But she will like the TV for her room.

That's sounds like a nice gift your mom. I hope she feels well enough to go out to eat. I hope it's nothing serious.

Were you happy that the King's are staying for at least another year in Sacramento?

It is a nice gift for her since she has a very old TV in her room and it was time for a new TV for her room. She has the flu and she is getting better. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow and get out of the house.

No question I am happy that the Kings will be in Sacramento for another year. The only thing I am worried right now is will they be here after next season. It only depends on the city of Sacramento to get a new sports arena for the Kings in the future. If they don't, they leave after next season. I am hoping that it gets done and I don't want them to be the Anaheim Royals or whatever city they go to.

Looks like I past the 2000 post mark just awhile ago.
