A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

That would be one crazy dream.

Well then, what about trying to take a shower on an airplane. I was traveling in a hospital gown, conveniently.

That was the real dream I had.
I think I might have liked the Attack of the Lizard one better.
You know how those darned hospital gowns are!

Brooklynn was SUCH a cute flower girl! And her curls held up quite well!

I  the Cincinnati Zoo! We live about two hours away and we try to go every summer.

You should have joined them on zoo day!

I missed you guys, too!

I would love to see a viking ship specifically for playing on -- that would be awesome. I'm glad that we have that picture and more of Kailyn playing on it because it's nice to have the pictures of things that don't exist anymore.

I can totally relate to the "pop" confusion. The first time I went out to Ohio, when I was 13, my aunt offered me pop and I had NO idea what she meant! It's either tonic or soda here.

One of my girls at work just got to Disney World today. Her flight left Boston around 4:30 AM  and she's been texting me and sending me pictures, as Katie did, because I like living vicariously. :rotfl2: DHS has EMH tonight, so that's where they are. I've so far gotten a picture of the hat and a picture looking down Sunset Blvd. towards the ToT.

It's fun to have a friend in Disney! Tell her to let us know how Fantasmic is running, if she sees it. I'm interested in the waits/crowd now that they have reduced the number of times they show it.

Tonic is different. Soda and pop we hear a little around here, but tonic in the south has a whole different meaning than Coke!

Think moonshiners on Andy Griffith.

Jill....sounds like you had a very busy weekend! Glad the wedding went well...and yes every wedding i have ever been too has had a maid of honor and best man toast (which I just realized I have to do in Aug and I have no idea what I am going to say since the groom is not the best one for my best friend to marry....but thats another story)

And yes Mansfield area has nothing and the mall is horrible...i go a lot when I need to go somewhere quick cause it has the target, kohls etc but if I want to really do some shopping I will head to the Polaris Mall in the north part of Columbus!
We do need to take Caleb to the zoo this summer but we will probably end up in Toledo as my SIL bought family passes there so we will probably go with them. I'm not so sure she is brave enough to take 4 kids under 8 again by herself!

And the whole pop/coke thing....there is a line at about KY when it is Coke...we got tripped up in that when we were in the south....we're like no we really want a coke (as in the brand) and they kept on going...which kind?? A COKE!!

I have Target, Kohl's, and Kroger less than a mile from my house. It is very convenient. When I'm old and scared to drive, I'll be able to walk up there!

when i first saw this i was in the middle of reading jill's mini TR and i thought, "oh my gosh....mexico? i thought they were in ohio!" :lmao
:

very cool! i remember watching "the monkees" when i was like 9 or 10 on nick at nite at my grandma's house all the time!

you had to throw that in there, didn't you?

GO BROOKLYNN, GO BROOKLYNN!!!! :dance3:

when she comes over to brooklynn, brooklynn's like, "leave me alone, woman, I'M DANCING!!!!" :rotfl2:

i love the leg-up-in-the-air move. very expressive! :lmao:

.

I thought it might get confusing. Did you have crazy dreams, too?

You saw it on Nick at Nite. I saw it on prime time TV, back in the old days!

I forget that I'm not the same age as most of you until something like that comes up. I still think I'm seventeen most of the time!

Brooklynn and Tucker both do the 'leave me alone, woman' thing to John's mom pretty often. I think she means well, but she's sort of intrusive sometimes.

I cannot see a Disney bird any more without thinking of you!

Brooklynn was so beautiful at the wedding!

Love the nose picking shot! :rotfl:

The white lion is super cool.

What a fun weekend!

You had to go and like the nose-picking one among all of those pictures???? :rotfl:

Mom and Jill! I can't believe I missed the WHOLE delivery! I'm over 2 months behind! Well Congrats on the new-ish addition to your family! :cutie:

Yep, that's what you get for not checking in. We left you in the waiting room! ;)

WOW! Not only am I LATE, but she ALREADY has a boyfriend too?!!! Love his hair!
She seems to have a bunch. We have mostly boy babies around here, and she may quite like it that way in about sixteen years! :cutie:

*******************************

Hopefully you are not so confused now that you think Ohio is an Epcot country.

We continue on.

Old Genie boy had some friends with him now, so I tried to get the three of them together real quick.

Music to stroll by.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot373.jpg

I remember it being very warm when I took that picture and thinking how hot the performers probably were.

Pretty umbrellas in France.

No more Year of a Million Dreams signs.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot376.jpg

I didn't notice the bird on top until just now. I was focused on the banner.

Have I said before how cool I think this fence is?

disney3-18-09AKEpcot377.jpg

Yes, I have.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot378.jpg

Mesmerizing garden decor.

If you have seen them, you know exactly what I mean. You just have to stop and look a minute.

We're hoping to try a Kim Possible mission this summer.

Then over to Spaceship Earth.
Raise your hand if you have ever been stuck on Spaceship Earth.

I see quite a few hands.
Mine is up, too.

Yes, we got stuck.
Yes, it was for a long time.

We thought about jumping off the snow-covered cliff when we got off!

But then we remembered food.

Great mini update Jill-Brooklyn's hair looked beautiful-she is such a pretty girl! Both my girls loved the zoo pics!
More great updates and pics MeMom. Am awaiting news of the surprise...

I have Target, Kohl's, and Kroger less than a mile from my house. It is very convenient. When I'm old and scared to drive, I'll be able to walk up there!

bragging memom????:rotfl:

MeMom, as usual great pictures, makes it seem like I was just there, oh, wait a minute....... I was. Was that pork chop from Sunshine Seasons? of which I will never eat because Baylor thinks it stinks in the land building.....

Those topiaries are so beautiful!

And you're not the only one that used to watch the original version of The Monkees. I had the biggest crush on Davy Jones! LOL Oh...and Bobby Sherman too!

I'm a little behind! I'm caught up though...

Jill, Brooklynn looked adorrrrrrable at that wedding! OMG and her dancing skills are sharp as ever! I really loved the picture of Bella just chillin' with her one arm folded behind her head too! :cutie:

Ohio is an Epcot country? :confused3

MeMom, love the WS pictures. I'm glad you didn't focus on the bird in that picture because then I may have had heart palpatations looking at it

I'm a little behind!

Jill, Brooklynn look absolutely adorrrrrable at that wedding! And her dancing skills are sharp as ever! I really loved the picture of Bella just chillin' with her one arm folded behind her head too :cutie:

Ohio is now a country pavillion at Epcot? :confused3

MeMom, love the WS pictures. I'm glad you didn't focus on the bird in that one shot because I may have had heart palpatations looking at it if you did  Oh and I accidentally denied the friend request on facebook! But I re-requested you and all is good in facebook land now. :thumbsup2

The white tiger was chillin

IMG_1517.jpg

The white lion and lioness were out. This is when we realized it must be mating season for the lions. Tris is the only picture I can post.

IMG_1527.jpg

And of course there was a rhino statue so Brooklynn needed a picture. John got to take one at Louisville so I got to do this one.

IMG_1529.jpg

Oh wow!! I love white tigers and I have never seen a white lion in my life!!!!! They are just beautiful!!!!!!!

Awww, love all the girls with the rhino!!!

WHEW!!! I'm finally caught up again! You have so many DIS friends that like to talk to you that when I go away for a couple of days, I have an hour of reading to do! :rotfl:
Sorry that Bella had a nasty infection on her arm. That's pretty scary.
Didn't know that Jill and fam were up in our neck of the woods. Actually, she was about 2 hours East of our woods. My DH goes to Mansfield all the time for business.
Brooklyn was so cute in her twirlly dress. I LOVED to dance like that when I was a kid. And, too bad that you had to experience our great Ohio weather. :rotfl: Yeah, it's the middle of June and we have yet to see anything higher than 80. Just a lot of humidity, so it feels hotter.
I'm very curious to hear about this "surprise" that you guys having brewing down there.

Ohio as a World Showcase country!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Love the little fairy houses! Those are too cute! I need one for my garden -- maybe the one with the little tea set.

My hand is definitely raised and waving all around, and I am bouncing up and down in my seat! "Me! Me! Me! I have been stuck on Spaceship Earth before!" It about did me in while I thought about where I really was -- trapped in a giant ball! :scared1:

I was a few pages behind and came back to a zillion updates!

The wedding report was really fun-Brooklynn looked beautiful with her dress and her curls. I'm so sorry it was a stressful day for you though Jill! That kind of MIL would drive me NUTS. Plus, the incredible disorganization of the wedding...ugh. And here you are, trying to wrangle two kids-an infant and the other IN the wedding, no paci...ugh.

I cannot believe how big Bella is getting!

The food in Mexico, both CS and TS, always gets such poor reviews it seems. We ate at the CS back in 06, but I cannot recall if we liked it or not. What do you usually order that is so tasty? We LOVE Mexican food, so it would make a great lunch!

These are so sweet!

Memom...its Official!!! We're going to WDW in early Feb 2010...maybe mid Jan 2010 if my SIL finds out when her boards to be a veterinary asstistant are...but most likely early feb 2010....I soo want to start planning but rates are not out for 2010 yet and I would like to make sure we are still in the value season!:cool1: I can;t wait:woohoo:...my nephew will be 3.5 and I think that will be the perfect age!

MeMom sending you wishes that you have a blessed day. I too remember Dave Jones when he was younger and I was younger. I may even have several of his records somewhere in a box in the basement.

Miss Brooklynn was truely a princess in her flower girl dress, and a wonderful dancer.

I was up at 5:45 this morning to make my ADR at 6:00 on line, I was able to get everything I wanted at the times I wanted.

It was easy and quick, I loved go on line. I was finished before the 7:00 queue started waiting on the phone.

Update on Bella's arm. THe doctor said it was just some kind of a staph infection. He said draining it would have killed it off, but adding the antibiotics she was already taking would definitely make sure she has no more problems.

So the little one is good. THe big one however, fell out of her bed at 1:30 this morning. She hit her head on her dollhouse. So at 1:30 I was trying to wake myself up enough for my eyes to adjust so I could determine whether we were heading to the ER or not. With all her blond hair mixed with all the blood mixed with her grumpiness for being woken up so abruptly it was no easy task. After about 10 minutes I finally had stopped the bleeding enough to find the spot it was all coming from and determined that it was not bad enough to head to the ER. It then took about 30 minutes to get Brooklynn back to sleep and then I was awake for another hour or so. Bella was up about an hour after I fell asleep so I am not feeling well rested right now. Today is my last day at home with the peanut. I start back to work Monday. Luckily they go to work with me so I don't have to miss anything!

Great news about Bella's arm! I know you are relieved!

Poor Brooklyn! That would have been a horrible way to wake up!

Poor you having had such little sleep! Any chance you can take a nap today?
