A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

Aw...Old Genie Boy! :cutie:

You'll be seeing him soon, so tell him Brookie says hello!

Great mini update Jill-Brooklyn's hair looked beautiful-she is such a pretty girl! Both my girls loved the zoo pics!
More great updates and pics MeMom. Am awaiting news of the surprise...

Surprise tomorrow. :)
Just don't get too worked up, because it's not that huge.

LOVE THAT FENCE!!!!!:rotfl:

Me, too.
How's Dad coming on mine?

bragging memom????:rotfl:

No, just grateful that when I get too old to drive without being a danger to society, I can still go buy sustenance for myself.

MeMom, as usual great pictures, makes it seem like I was just there, oh, wait a minute....... I was. Was that pork chop from Sunshine Seasons? of which I will never eat because Baylor thinks it stinks in the land building.....

Yep. You have to put a clothespin on Baylor's nose so you can go in there and eat. It's good stuff!

Those topiaries are so beautiful!

And you're not the only one that used to watch the original version of The Monkees. I had the biggest crush on Davy Jones! LOL Oh...and Bobby Sherman too!

For me it was Donny Osmond and Chris Knight, and I don't care a thing for either of them any more. Chris Knight went kind of whacko, I think, and had some TV show where he was going with a girl young enough to be his daughter. Is that right? Donny is okay, but I just think he's not cute like he was when he was a teenager. Oooh, I forgot Scott Baio - he was cute, too! And I liked George Clooney from all the way back in the day when he was the neighbor to Blair and Tootie and Mrs. Garrett. Remember that? Little did I know I had chosen what would be one of the hottest men in America in the future! Oh, and Mark Harmon...
Yeah, I could ramble on about the guys from my past.
Yet not one of the picked me.
Sadness.

MeMom & Jill, I can't wait to show you my new highlights and pedicure!

Pretty hair and pretty toes and all ready to go to DISNEY WORLD!!!
See you tomorrow night.
The hippo doesn't know what's coming his way!

I'm a little behind! I'm caught up though...

Jill, Brooklynn looked adorrrrrrable at that wedding! OMG and her dancing skills are sharp as ever! I really loved the picture of Bella just chillin' with her one arm folded behind her head too!

Ohio is an Epcot country?

MeMom, love the WS pictures. I'm glad you didn't focus on the bird in that picture because then I may have had heart palpatations looking at it

I dance every bit as good as she does, too. :rolleyes1
In my defense, when you grow up in the Church of Christ, not much dancing practice goes on.

I think that's a cute picture of Bella, too!

Jill was doing Ohio updates and I was doing World Showcase, so they sort of blended. ;)

You girls and your birds. Too funny.
I'll aggravate you guys about birds, and you guys can send me snowglobes.
NOT! No snowglobes.
Sometimes I wish I had my hammer when I'm shopping so that I could free all the creatures drowning in the snowglobes.:rotfl:

Oh wow!! I love white tigers and I have never seen a white lion in my life!!!!! They are just beautiful!!!!!!!

Awww, love all the girls with the rhino!!!

I just think tigers are beautiful creatures. Their paws are HUGE!

WHEW!!! I'm finally caught up again! You have so many DIS friends that like to talk to you that when I go away for a couple of days, I have an hour of reading to do! :rotfl:
Sorry that Bella had a nasty infection on her arm. That's pretty scary.
Didn't know that Jill and fam were up in our neck of the woods. Actually, she was about 2 hours East of our woods. My DH goes to Mansfield all the time for business.
Brooklyn was so cute in her twirlly dress. I LOVED to dance like that when I was a kid. And, too bad that you had to experience our great Ohio weather. Yeah, it's the middle of June and we have yet to see anything higher than 80. Just a lot of humidity, so it feels hotter.
I'm very curious to hear about this "surprise" that you guys having brewing down there.

All of her dresses have to be twirl-tested these days. If they don't twirl enough, they go back on the rack. :cutie:

It's been very humid here, too. We've gotten a good taste of what is yet to come on our trip.

I grew up with 4 older brothers. Therefore, I can appreciate the finer things in life like a good old nose picking!

Four brothers - yep, I bet you could write a book!

Ohio as a World Showcase country!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Love the little fairy houses! Those are too cute! I need one for my garden -- maybe the one with the little tea set.

My hand is definitely raised and waving all around, and I am bouncing up and down in my seat! "Me! Me! Me! I have been stuck on Spaceship Earth before!" It about did me in while I thought about where I really was -- trapped in a giant ball! :scared1:

This was the longest we've ever been trapped. We pretty much have learned only to go in it if there is time to spare. If you are on your way somewhere, you might want to hold off, because you might very well be delayed.

I was a few pages behind and came back to a zillion updates!

The wedding report was really fun-Brooklynn looked beautiful with her dress and her curls. I'm so sorry it was a stressful day for you though Jill! That kind of MIL would drive me NUTS. Plus, the incredible disorganization of the wedding...ugh. And here you are, trying to wrangle two kids-an infant and the other IN the wedding, no paci...ugh.

I cannot believe how big Bella is getting!

The food in Mexico, both CS and TS, always gets such poor reviews it seems. We ate at the CS back in 06, but I cannot recall if we liked it or not. What do you usually order that is so tasty? We LOVE Mexican food, so it would make a great lunch!

Speaking of zillion, did you see that they discovered a new prime number the other day? It has like a million numbers in it or something. Who comes up with this stuff?

Jill really does have extra stars in her crown for holding her tongue with you-know-who sometimes. If you spent five minutes with her, you would truly understand.

Memom...its Official!!! We're going to WDW in early Feb 2010...maybe mid Jan 2010 if my SIL finds out when her boards to be a veterinary asstistant are...but most likely early feb 2010....I soo want to start planning but rates are not out for 2010 yet and I would like to make sure we are still in the value season!:cool1: I can;t wait:woohoo:...my nephew will be 3.5 and I think that will be the perfect age!

Alrighty then, let's get those banana guys dancing to
celebrate! :banana::banana::banana:

This will be a great trip for all of you!

MeMom sending you wishes that you have a blessed day. I too remember Dave Jones when he was younger and I was younger. I may even have several of his records somewhere in a box in the basement.

Miss Brooklynn was truely a princess in her flower girl dress, and a wonderful dancer.

I was up at 5:45 this morning to make my ADR at 6:00 on line, I was able to get everything I wanted at the times I wanted.

It was easy and quick, I loved go on line. I was finished before the 7:00 queue started waiting on the phone.

Girl, look what you've done to me...
That was him, right?

Congratulations on the ADR's. That always makes the trip seem more real, and it definitely makes it more exciting to know you are that close! I'm looking forward to trying out the new online way of doing things for our December trip.

************************************

It's Friday!

This is the last day of Week Three of summer school.
It hasn't been bad at all.

We're having a fun weekend. Tomorrow we'll have our Pop party. Really just a meal with decorations, but still fun. I think Jarvis is coming over to eat. Drew is headed out on one of his weekend adventures and won't be back until Monday night, but he still claims he and his buddy, Mitchell are coming with us to Disney World, so we're counting them in our numbers as of now.

Saturday night we will have a DIS meet at the Rainforest Cafe at Opry Mills. If anyone is in the Nashville vicinity, come an over and say howdy!

Well, not howdy, but hi, hey, or hello would be great!

Have a good one, my DIS buddies!

I'm glad that Bella's arm is healing and she is doing better. I hope that Brooklynn doesn't have too much of a headache this morning. It's always scary when your little ones get hurt. Especially when they scream in the middle of the night. Have fun at the DIS meet. I would love to one day be able to join you.

Memom--your weekend sounds like fun:hippie:. With 3 weeks of summer school done, your trip isn't too far behind:cool1:
Jill, you poor thing--I'm glad Bellla's arm is clearing up--but now:scared1: poor Brooklynn!! I hope you guys have an uneventful Friday:goodvibes

Trying to take a shower on an airplane with a medical gown on?!:rotfl::rotfl: That is too funny. I hope you all have a great weekend. I am glad to hear that Bella is doing better, but sorry to hear about Brooklynn. Jill, I hope you get some rest before you start back to work Monday. I am glad you get to take your babies with you.

I'm going to start by giving  to Bella, to Brooklynn, to BrooklynnsMommy. You have all had something to deal with over the last few days.

I can't wait to see pics of the 'hippo meet', I wish I lived closer and I could come too. :goodvibes

Will we get to see the POP party tomorrow? I would love to see what you ladies come up with. You are always so creative. :)

micandminforever thanks for sharing about the new online ADR's. I have to make mine in the coming weeks and I was wondering which way to go. I will take your advice and try it online.
Congrats on getting what you wanted! :thumbsup2

We'd love to have you join us whenever!

Jill said Brooklynn went to school and was playing in the water, so she's probably not even thinking about her head right now. You know how kids are - she'll play the 'hurt head' card when she wants to ge out of doing something.

I'm going to go check our countdown.
Stay right here a minute.

Okay, it says: 35 days, 18 hours, and 42 minutes!

You didn't get it? I sent it down using the postal service months ago.

:rotfl2:

Well, you know how long it took Declan's postcards to arrive. Just think how long it will take a fence!!!

Yeah, you can laugh. You weren't the one trying to keep your gown tied!

Don't forget about the big Meet You at the Bowling Pin Pool deal we're having one of these days! It will be rockin' awesome when we can have a huge meet! :dance3:

As for the 'party':
I might have been cutting out pictures of bowling pins yesterday for tomorrow.

I don't need to mention boys rolling eyes  at me, do I?

The best part of online is you get an hour jump on the 7:00 phone queue. Then if online does not work you are up to join the phone crowd. The bad part is getting up an hour eariler.

MeMom have a great party and Dis meet tomorrow.

My countdown on the computer says: 10 hours, 21 minutes and 48 seconds until it's tomorrow!

HA :upsidedow I was cutting out bowling pin shapes last night! They are my templates for Patrick's birthday cake. I'm running out of time to get this pulled off (but nothing new there actually) I left for work and told Greg to bake one of the cakes so I could start carving tonight. Thank goodness the party is at the bowling alley and not my house...it's barely fit for us to live in right now. How is it that summer can be more busy than the school year?

I hope your transition back to work on Monday goes okay Jill. I know that's such a tough thing. How awesome the girls get to come with you though! :)

Getting up early is not a problem for either Jill or me, so I think we're okay there.

I have the bottom part of my tie-dyed cheesecake made. I'm going to let Brooklynn help make the swirly top part tonight or in the morning. Her first Pop cheesecake making experience. :hippie:

Our DIS meet grew in the planning, so hopefully everyone will be able to come!

You, you, you! I know your house is buzzing with excitement!

Happy Birthday, Patrick! :bday:

She will miss her DIS time, I imagine. She is fortunate that she still gets to see the girls throughout the day, so that should make it easier.

I draw a blank as to what we did after we ate, but I'm going to say we just did some window shopping, walking around, etc. These are the next pictures I have as we close out our day at Epcot.

I like this spot at the end of an Epcot night - the sound of the water in the fountain, the palm trees swaying. It's just a pretty, peaceful surrounding.

Then it was time for Illuminations.

We made our way out with the masses.

That was it for Epcot day. It had been a long day, a fun day, and my leg was killing me. It was time to head back to Pop for pillow stacks.

The next picture is showing at 5:30 a.m. the next morning, so that's it for the day period. I guess I was too worn out to even take any last minute pictures as we got off the bus and hobbled to the room.

Wow. we went away for a week and I had to catch up on 30ish pages. :0) Im so glad both girls are ok!!!! I see I am also just in time for the surprise.yea!! Benefit of being away is that I did not have to wait like many have over the last few days. I hate waiting. lol.

A week ago we had spent the day at Epcot! :(

Beautiful pictures of Illuminations and the fountains! There is something so wonderful about being at the parks at night.

MeMom, where were you standing to watch Illuminations? The pictures we as usual awesome!

35 DAYS????? Holy Moly! You're getting SO close!!!!!

Jill, glad to hear that both of your peanuts are healing. Sorry about the lack of sleep night, and that you have to go back to work.

Update on Bella's arm. THe doctor said it was just some kind of a staph infection. He said draining it would have killed it off, but adding the antibiotics she was already taking would definitely make sure she has no more problems.

So the little one is good. THe big one however, fell out of her bed at 1:30 this morning. She hit her head on her dollhouse. So at 1:30 I was trying to wake myself up enough for my eyes to adjust so I could determine whether we were heading to the ER or not. With all her blond hair mixed with all the blood mixed with her grumpiness for being woken up so abruptly it was no easy task. After about 10 minutes I finally had stopped the bleeding enough to find the spot it was all coming from and determined that it was not bad enough to head to the ER. It then took about 30 minutes to get Brooklynn back to sleep and then I was awake for another hour or so. Bella was up about an hour after I fell asleep so I am not feeling well rested right now. Today is my last day at home with the peanut. I start back to work Monday. Luckily they go to work with me so I don't have to miss anything!

How do I miss this stuff? I'm glad to hear that Bella is on the mend. Poor Brooklynn and you for the night time fiasco! I'm glad you were able to get it all under control and get her back to bed. Let's hope tonight is uneventful!:goodvibes
