A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

That's right, you're off!
What are you doing fun this week?

Besides laundry.

We have just been staying close to home this week -- we have made peanut butter cookies, dyed eggs, made a countdown calendar (we'll start it next month), scrapbooked, and organized Connor's room (which was frightning before). I thought I would really wish I was at WDW this week, but since I keep reading about how they have closed MK due to capacity crowds everyday so far, I haven't missed it near as much as I thought I would.

The country of Teppan Edo, of course, headed by King Charles of Georgia. Do you read CP's report? If not, check in over there. It's a fun report, and she deserves to be read by all, because I believe she reads every single report on this board every day! Her family is going to WDW in about two months (not sure of the exact number of days), and they're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Animal Kingdom Lodge is where she can have a zebra dome every time she goes to the food court, if she wishes. Isn't she a lucky girl - to be married to the King and have zebra domes whenever she wants???

You are too funny and sweet, MeMom! Only 58 days (I think) until we are at AKL, and I am eating zebra domes like a queen!

Congratulations, Jill!!! Isabella is absolutely beautiful. I love the pics of her and Brooklynn, I know they are going to be the best of friends. And even though you don't feel like it, you look great in all of your pictures!!

To the mommies waiting to have their babies--pack your bags early!!!!! My son was born 3 weeks early, my water broke at 1:25am--that was a nice wake-up call!! The funny thing was, I packed my bags and his coming home bags the night before, I couldn't go to sleep until I finished packing. At the time, I couldn't figure out why, but when I woke up soaking wet, it all made sense. :thumbsup2

And I know I am new to your reports, and you don't really know me yet, MeMom, but we will be WDW in December/January, arriving either 12/31 or 1/1. We'll be staying through marathon weekend--I'm running the Goofy Challenge. Maybe I'll run into you guys!

Bella is just beautiful!! Seeing babies makes me want to have another one. But then I think of the sleepless nights and am glad that I can sleep.
Here is my theory on who babies look like. (If you care ;) ) I think that the first child, usually, looks like the dad. The second child, the mom. And the third and any child after that, is the combo kid. That's my theory! :confused3

Bella is so beautiful. The photos of your brand new baby totally made me cry. The look of sheer happiness on everyone's faces just shows what a treasured little girl Bella is.

I hope things are going smoothly for you at home Jill. I remember the first trip out on my own with the two. It's a bit awkward, but gets easier!

Yes, please no reflux, because it was not fun, and I really hope Jill is moving a little better each day.

Tell Henry we are excited to meet him, too! I watched one of the videos you put up of him real quickly today. SO cute!

We will probably watch at Poly. I loved Dave and Cathy's webcam this past year. I hope to meet them this summer and maybe even reserve us a place in their 'yard', if they're at Hawaii again. That was a prime spot

Thanks MeMom! :goodvibes All day I was thinking about how much fun it will be to meet your crew and to see Henry and Brooklyn together!!

That is great about maybe getting a spot in Dave & Cathy's 'yard'! I am sure that beach is packed out. Do you know if you can actually watch the fireworks in the park too? I'm sure that is even busier than the beach though.

What beautiful photos. I love the photo of Bella and her little tongue sticking out. Cutie pie! :) I'm sure little Miss Brooklynn is going to be a fabulous big sister! When my son was born, he gave his big sisters a gift as well. These new babies are so thoughtful, aren't they? ;)

Good afternoon all. John is cutting the grass - he started Saturday afternoon, but only got the front yard done before I called him to come watch Brooklynn because I wasn't feeling well. The backyard would be perfect for a very challenging Easter egg hunt right now. You can barely see Ben in some parts of the yard because it has grown so much. Isabella is sleeping after our morning adventures out. Brooklynn is at school hopefully napping peacefully. I, of course, am doing the mommy thing and straightening up a little, doing some laundry, and washing dishes.

Last night was a really rough night for me and Isabella. She was waking up every hour and fifteen minutes or so screaming like she was starving. I would try and hold her off while not letting the screaming wake Brooklynn up. I would give in about 30 minutes or so later and she would eat for about 5 minutes and fall asleep. She would not wake up for anything, I stripped her down to her diaper, turned on the lights, and changed her to no avail so I would lay her back down and get about 45 minutes asleep before we did all over again. About 3:30, I was exhausted and in excrutiating pain from getting up and down, up and down. I had John go and get 2 Percocet and my motrin. My pain went down after that but the exhaustion didn't.

We did get out the door to the doctor this morning. Bella had an excellent check up and Brooklynn has yet another ear infection. We are going to start her on Flonase to see if that helps. She'll have a recheck when Bella has her two week appointment.

Jill...glad to hear you got out the door ok this am. sorry to hear brooklyn has an ear infection ontop of everything else. Calebs' first dr appts we were always running late at least 15-30 minutes. It took me a long time to get anywhere on time with him. We still run later than I want to in the am's but at least we get where we are going on time though.

BrooklynnsMommy
Sounds like a wild night and morning. Thought and wishes that you all rest better tonight.

I hear you and Jill have been Facebooking some. I'm sure you'll see plenty of pictures on there.

We have!!! I just got through looking throught those sweet pictures and commenting on them!! they are such a beautiful family!!

Oh I hate nights like that! You just don't know what to do for them and you are SO tired. Here's to hoping for some more sleep tonight. Isn't MeMom coming tomorrow too? Maybe she can help so you can get some sleep.

So sorry to hear you had a rough night last night. As I'm sure you know - these early days will pass so quickly and before you know it - she'll be sleeping for longer stretches - and so will you! :goodvibes

Poor Brooklynn. :( My middle son had a lot of ear infections. Hope it's gone soon.

MeMom and Jill,
Lurker from Arkansas here. Bella is beautiful and Brooklyn will be her best friend. I would have written sooner but I was busy at our hospital waiting
for Bella's boyfriend to arrive.
Let me introduce Bella's Disney boyfriend my frist grandsonTyson.

I have read/lurked on all your reports. Congrats on a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Having 2 princesses is so much fun! Mine are 28mo apart. They still like to dress as "twins" Looking forward to hearing more about the new addition and upcoming Disney plans!

Awwww Isabella is just beautiful! :cutie:princess: I love all the pics...thanks so much for putting them up! Brooklynn looks so happy and that one of her crashed on your bed is sooo cute. I love that she got a special present from her little sister...very thoughtful! Sorry about the rough night...I couldn't get my kids to sleep apart from me...and I know people seem to be able to put their kids all wrapped snugly in a bassinette or crib or pack and play....but not mine...they had to sleep right on me....or it was no sleep at all. So that's exactly what I did for a month....:goodvibes Hope the appointments went well and Brooklynn's ear is better now. Many congratulations and well wishes and prayers.:cloud9:

To multi-quote, click on the " at the bottom of the posts you want to quote. It will turn red/orange. On the last post, when you are ready to start your replies, then hit the Quote and you'll be ready to go!

Jill will be laughing when she reads that, because me telling anyone anything about computer stuff is pretty funny. I'm a computer dummy, but I did learn to multi-quote, so I'm glad to share my vast computer knowledge with you!

Aww, Isabella is absolutely precious. And Brooklynn is too cute, she's going to be such a great big sister! I loved seeing all of your photos. Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

When I was on the phone last night with Jill, she was being a big helper girl!

Peanut butter cookies and countdown calendars.
Not a bad life.
Not bad at all!

Packing bags early is great advice!

We are glad you joined in here on our reports. Make yourself at home!

It is very cool that you are participating in a Disney run! Hopefully we can meet on New Year's Day. We'll compare schedules when it gets closer.

***************************

More later. It's a stormy morning in Middle TN. I have to go do chores and get ready to go to Alabama.

I will leave you with some shopping pictures from the next portion of our trip at Hollywood Studios.

Jill, I hope you got to sleep better last night.

MeMom, I love the shopping pics! We never made it back there on this last trip.

I'm headed home for the weekend and don't generally make it onto the boards when I'm there, so have a Happy Easter everyone!

Luckily on our next trip I will have my friend who LOVES to shop (we call her the Wal-Mart Queen) so I may have some shopping pics of my own for a change.;)

Hope everyone is feeling great today!
