A trip to WDW w/NO kids? Hubba Hubba! Wink Wink! UPDATE: EXTRA, EXTRA!!! Pg 158

That is true. We never had any problems last year either. Actually, I think last year was the best service year we had on a WDW trip so far. Every time we had good service we left them an extra tip on top of what the dining plan paid them. I feel sorry for the people that had bad service though. I know a lot of the CM's were pretty ticked about the way their tips were being paid.

we did too!

I just noticed what is missing from my siggie...where's my monorail fan bar? :confused3

well I guess I will figure that out later. I'm outta here!

I noticed it was gone a few days ago but thought you took it out yourself. Hope you get it back. btw, can you send me the link to that web site again? It's on Chris' laptop and I'm too lazy to turn it on and get it

I just had to put in my two cents--I hate that we have to do the tips this year. I would have been okay with them dropping the appetizers and then dropping the cost by $1, but to take away tips too---that is too much!!! BUT, of course we are doing the DP when we go back in June, so I guess we aren't hurting them too much now are we?!?!?!? OH WELL--what are we really going to do about it?!? Tom and I really like going in Sept--especially when Free Dining is involved--but had to do June this year to work with my niece and nephews' school schedule who are also going. Oh, how I am going to miss the light September crowds!! Enjoy them for me okay Cheri!!

Loved the update, Cheri! I'm kind of disappointed, though, because I always said if I ever go to CG, that would be the appetizer that I would order.:sad2:

mmm cheese and crackers is SO good. I bought this garlic cheese dip earlier this week (Alouette brand) and it is really good with wheat thins! :thumbsup2
You should try it!

I thought garlic was bad. Or is that just if Mike eats it?

We are definitely hitting the Star Wars activities on the 8th--My DH, Brother, and nephews are looking SO forward to it! We have never been for it--so we don't know exactly what to expect. Nevertheless, I am sure all will have a good time! Jen

awesome!! You all are going to love it!! My DH and I went for Star Wars weekends when the last movie came out and it was an absolute blast! My DH was in heaven. Be sure to get there before they start letting people through the ticket turnstiles. The activities start before the park even opens. It's worth waking up early for :thumbsup2

We definitely plan on getting there early--we love rope drops! I heard the pre-rope drop show is great!! I can't wait! The only problem we have is not knowing how to plan our itinerary for that day to accomodate both rides and the special activities planned for Star Wars--any help or advice? You can see our intended itinerary for DHS and SWW as it stands over on my PTR---trust me, I know we are too ambitious, but we don't know how to plan for it. Here is a link to the page where that itinerary is discussed. Any feedback is greatly appreciated since we haven't done SWW before. TIA

nope. I see the X now (whereas before it was just blank) You may not even need this anymore but now that I've looked at the link (here) I see that the site is under construction so I've got my answer.

you'll have to let us know if you notice any differences about using the dining plan in June as opposed to FD in September.

I know those June crowds ALL too well. We always used to go in mid-summer. In 2006, we were there the week of 4th of July! :scared1: The extra fireworks show at Epcot was worth it. It was SO beautiful! And that was my DH's first trip as an adult. Hope you enjoy bringing your niece and newphew with you!

Thanks. Well....are you still planning on ordering it? I'd love to see what YOU think. :rotfl2: The cheeses change sometimes, but they're all along the same lines of cheese---the fancy moldy kind

garlic by itself is still very bad!!!! I was thankful he didn't eat much at the recent crawfish boil in FL. Maybe it was because I threatened him. :confused3

you're gonna have a great time!! Sounds like you have a lot planned but as long as you keep the rest of the trip a little lighter I think that will be great!

I replied on your itinerary on your PTR and subbed :thumbsup2 Hope I was able to help at least a little. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hmmmm, I don't see anything. weird. I guess whenever the site is back up and running go over there and copy the bar you want onto photobucket so it doesn't disappear like that anymore. That's what I did with mine.

Thanks for the link. I hadn't gotten it yet.

Thanks Cherbear for the advice and input!! I think our biggest difference is going to be paying for the tips this year---YUCK!!! I loved always just being able to go and eat whatever, and never even having to worry about the gratuity!! You guys had to be true troopers to take in WDW in July!!! I bow to your courage! :worship: Tom and I have gotten used to going at lower times like later in September and the week after Thanksgiving, so we know that we are going to be in for a little "culture shock," but we are just going to relax and enjoy!! My whole family is going along with us--minus my sis's hubby--so we are really excited! I have pics of all of us, except my big bro, on my PTR--you should check it out to see our gang going--we are all Disney addicts, so that makes the trip that much more exciting to anticipate and plan! Talk to you soon sweetie!! Here's to hoping that your little furbaby will return soon!! :flower3:

I definitely want to make it over there soon! You are SO close!

Hi!! I just started reading your trip report and I love it!!! Looks like so far you guys had a great time!

I would order it, but I don't have anybody special to go to CG with. I know I tried some GROSS cheeses at Akershus last year. BAD BAD BAD!!!

What did you threaten him with??
I'm here, but you're gone.:sad1:

As for going in June, I've always wanted to go for gay days. No, not because I started "batting for the other team" as Love would say. Just because they're some of the friendliest people and fun to hang out with.

told him he'd be sleeping with Puff(the dog) that night! :rotfl:

a lot of them are...just very open people and that is what makes them fun. I want to meet Christian Siriano from the last season of Project Runway! I will never forget when my gay uncle (who passed) was checking out the same guys at WDW as me and my cousin when we were about 16 years old. Yes, he apparently liked the young ones.
