ahhh!!! I feel sooooo horrible now! You caught my cold! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry!!! I hope you can forgive me I can't appologize enough. I'm so sorry girl. Hopefully it doesn't last very long. I had a bad feeling that you'd end up catching it. I think I gave it to my other friend's husband too...not sure how though lol. Anyways, I'm so glad ya'll made it home safely. I was worried when I saw that system heading to LA. We made it home too obviously. I miss hanging out with you and Mike already.

To recap for those who haven’t read the PTR portion of this thread, I’m Cheri.

And My DH is Mike. We are a young married couple (almost a year now) with no kids, and we just returned from a week-long trip to WDW. Our trip dates were Sept 15 through 21st. Now we are back and ready to tell of our adventures! And just for fun, I’ll repost our caricature from last year’s trip.

So…where should I start? Oh, how about the beginning?! I actually DID get some sleep Friday night…I suppose I was pretty tired after a nearly sleepless night Thursday. As soon as the alarm went off at 5:43 AM, I started pushing Mike telling him “It’s time for Disney World!” Having showered the night before, I got up and immediately started getting myself ready so that I could do all the last minute checks of the luggage. I even quickly “laminated” a few of my LGMH’s with Leger13’s method---clear packing tape.

I wanted to do them all but Mike insisted I didn’t have time.

Here's some pics I wanted to post before but didn't have time. This was pre-lamination:

Yes, I went a little crazy on a few of them. These were my "prized" LGMH's, as they took a little while, but unfortunately I couldn't make all of them that way.

So we let the dogs out to do their business, and gave them tons of kisses as we wouldn’t see them for a whole week…which is like years in doggie time! Look how sad they are that Mommy and Daddy are leaving!

Please don't say I am cruel. We can't leave them out on their own or they will find some way to make a mess! And our friend would be coming by a couple times a day to let them out and make sure they had food and water.

We finished getting all our stuff together and it was 10 minutes til 7 so we had to get the car loaded up quick!

I wanted to take pictures of us loading up stuff in the car, but Mike had put the camera in his carry-on, beneath a few things—including his tennis shoes—which he would have forgotten if it wasn’t for me! (What would men do without us? )

(I also wanted to take pictures at the airport, but he said I wasn’t allowed yet…that I could start on the plane. I gave in…I was just so excited about going to Disney and just so ready to get on the plane that I was okay with waiting.)

We made it to my parents’ house at 7:40—after a brief (unplanned) stop at BK for sausage biscuits with grape jelly and mini hashbrowns---boy do I love those things! I didn’t know the “bad eating” would start so early, but that was ALL Mike’s idea. Mom fixed me some coffee and we sat down for a few minutes just chatting about how excited Mike and I were (and how jealous they were).

I woke my sister up to say goodbye…and she was not too happy…she was the most jealous of the 3 of them. (I really wish I had a pic of her face!)

We were out the door at 8:00, Mike drove to the airport and Dad rode along in the front seat while I took the back seat (short legs). We made it to the airport by 8:30, and said our farewells to Dad.

We printed our tickets, checked our luggage, and made it through security within 10 minutes. New Orleans airport is SO much quieter than many might think.

So now what do we do for the next hour? Sit and WAIT.

Did our flight leave on time? Did Mike pull a “Gaylord Focker” and try to stuff his giant carry-on bag into the overhead compartment only to have the flight attendant take it away, camera and all? Did we land safely? (Ok, obviously that’s a give-in) Tune in next time to see what awaits!!

they're always a bit "sweeter" when we come back...as if to say "we'll be good, please don't leave us again!"

I PMed one of them...she posted on my report at the beginning and said she'd move me over there when I was ready.

I'm feeling okay. Still run-down...but I can handle a cold. A cold is NOTHING compared to all that icky stomach stuff I was having before the trip...which, by the way, was ALL better by the time we left. Thanks for asking!

that's quite possible too to catch a cold from the CM's in the costumes...i hadn't thought of that. maybe that's where i caught mine.
