As soon as the alarm went off at 5:43 AM, I started pushing Mike telling him “It’s time for Disney World!”

Yippee!! Disney World time....but at 5:43? Not like 5:40 or 5:45? You strange girl!

Please don't say I am cruel. We can't leave them out on their own or they will find some way to make a mess! And our friend would be coming by a couple times a day to let them out and make sure they had food and water.

I definitely do not think you are cruel. I have heard that crating can help some pets as they feel more secure when you are gone. My bro/sis-in-law crate their 2 doggies every night and during the day when they are gone.

(I also wanted to take pictures at the airport, but he said I wasn’t allowed yet…that I could start on the plane. I gave in…I was just so excited about going to Disney and just so ready to get on the plane that I was okay with waiting.)

Mike is such a lier. You can take picture just about anywhere in the airport. I did! So, give him a smack for me.

OR did he say you weren't allowed to take pictures because he is the head of the house???

Did our flight leave on time? Did Mike pull a “Gaylord Focker” and try to stuff his giant carry-on bag into the overhead compartment only to have the flight attendant take it away, camera and all? Did we land safely? (Ok, obviously that’s a give-in) Tune in next time to see what awaits!!

I'm thinking nothing exciting happened except for maybe some funny pictures?

thanks...I understand that you're tired. I don't expect you to respond to every little thing....You definitely need to spend that time with Chris! Isn't it hard spending a whole week together, then going back to real life where you seem to hardly see each other?

I was glad to get rid of Joe . I was sick of him after spending a whole week with him!! Guess we've been married too long and its time to trade him in for a new one!

umm...I usually just push the button and get it around the vicinity and as long as it's close I don't care. You could say I got 3 extra minutes of sleep...OR maybe 2 less minutes of sleep? hehe

I'm glad you agree with the idea...our dogs also had to be separated recently because the full blood chihuahua was being mean to the chihuahua-rat terrior mix. Chihuahuas tend to get mean in their old age, from what I've seen and heard.

neither. He just didn't feel like getting the camera out from under all his junk in his carry-on. And frankly, I was walking on air at that point so I just went along with it.

I'd LOVE 2 weeks at Disney. I'm sure that most people who do that also have a lot of down time. I don't think I could do it because I've always got to be doing something when I'm there---there's just so much to see!

sorry for making y'all gag. I'm sure it wouldn't be the same if we hung out with each other more than 2 full days a month. And right now those days are spent working on our new house. I can't wait til he finds a job working weekDAYS instead of all WEEKENDS. We can't plan ANYTHING together...no parties, no weddings, no daytime bbq's, no fishing trips, nothing right now. So Disney was IT for us!

So let’s see...We were at the airport at our gate just waiting and waiting. I checked the board to be sure our flight was still “on time” and it was! By this point I was going absolutely nuts with dreams of Disney in my head. The flight started boarding at about 9:25, and we were on by probably 9:35. We were seated in the second to last row of this ITTY BITTY TEENY WEENY plane! The group behind and in front of us were all heading for Disney as well…and they were “characters” themselves! VERY COUNTRY!...and their first time on a plane. Wish I had pics of them to show y’all, but I think that would have been rude.

So anywho, I place my small carry-on on the floor, and Mike proceeds to stuff his max sized carry on duffel into the compartment above….it almost didn’t fit! That’s where the “Focker” moment came about…a flight attendant was nearing the back of the plane so he got nervous. Stuffed that bad boy in there finally, and then I said..... “uh, honey, where’s the camera?” Do y’all remember? Yep…in his bag. He knew he had to get it for me, because I’d throw a fit if I couldn’t take pics on the plane. He managed to stuff his bag back up there, and there it remained til the flight was over.
Yay! My camera! That means….PICTURES!!!

We’re clear for take-off….let’s go!

“Oh My Gosh, are we really going to be in Orlando in 1 ½ hours?!!!!” Does the excitement show in my chipmunk cheeks or what?!

Okay Mike, now it’s YOUR turn…….I don’t care if you don’t want to, you HAVE to take a picture. SNAP!

Remember the entertainment I packed?

That’s the crostics…they’re fun!....for a while…

Then I get antsy because we’re SO close to WDW!
What shall I do? Take pictures of CLOUDS of course!

Oh look who’s awake now

Honey….we’re landing now!!!!! We’re gonna see Mickey Mouse!!!!!!!!!! Smile!!

Okay…we made it to MCO! And after walking what felt like 8 miles (I was way too excited…it seemed like FOREVER!) here’s the infamous picture..

..and the line we had to wait in to board our bus..

Actually…this was the line to get up to the person who would direct you to ANOTHER line for the proper resort bus.

After about a 30 minute wait in the All Star line, we finally boarded our bus. Since we were the second couple to get on, we didn’t get a pic, but we did snap one of the other bus outside.

And what would this trip be without a pic while ON the DME bus?

A nice guy says….“Hey man, want me to snap one of you together?” Mike was just THRILLED…

can you tell? LOL

We watched a cool video about Disney World (except the part about RnR….couldn’t they have edited that out?) and it got us pumped about our arrival. The ride to WDW from the airport felt like such a LONG drive. And then finally…

(sorry it’s not a great pic, but it’s the best we could do)

And soon, we made it to the All Star Sports Resort where we’d be staying for the next week. We waited in a fairly long line to check in, and finally Annette checked us in. She wasn’t the friendliest of CM’s…but she wasn’t necessarily rude or anything. I love receiving my Key to the World card…it’s an awesome moment!

Since I’m doing my report “DM style” I’ll have to cut it short here. And leave you with the following questions…
Did we get the King bed we requested? What building were we in? (I’ll give you a hint…we PAID for a preferred room) How was our view? Did we visit a park? And if so, what park did we decide to visit first? All these and more….coming in the next installment!
