I came home from work today to find......



MY VERY FIRST $25 DISNEY GIFT CARD!

I LOVE Sunshine Rewards! (Thanks Lesley!) I have to admit, I doubted in the beginning...but not anymore! I'm on my way to another $25..actually I'm hoping to get $50 before my trip. I signed up for Blockbuster.com (which I had been wanting to do anyway, and what better time but now) and got 26 points!! Actually...it takes a while for those to credit so I'm still waiting...but it does show on my pending list.

I highly recommend this site to everyone.....I could go on and on about it, but I'm going to stop here and say if you want to know more, just pm me.
(I must admit I'm a little addicted but it's hard not to get addicted to something that earns me $$$ to spend at WDW! )

Also, I've slowly been earning points on my Disney Rewards Visa and I even used it for part of the vacation. I really want that Disney Rewards card, but I haven't made it to $20 yet! When I first got the card, I transferred a balance from another card so I tried not to use it on purchases for a while. (You don't get points from transfers, just purchases)
Oh hey if anyone wants to sign up for one(it's through Chase), let me know...I can give you my # for the card referral. LOL Then I would get enough points.


I forgot to say this earlier....but my PTR made it to page 10!!!!! Wowzers!

btw, where are you traveling to the World from? I saw you said it's a 10 hour drive for ya'll. It's about an 8 hour drive for us and we're coming from North Georgia.

I was looking through my files and found a couple of pics I want to share. I promised one of both of my dogs.

I took this picture on Coal's birthday last year. Yes, I made them wear birthday hats. Coal's hat says Birthday Boy.

Merlin is the white one (chihuahua-rat terrier mix), and Coal(full chihuahua) is the black one. (We're very diversified!)
They are sitting on our old bar. The one in the new house is much nicer. I'll supply a pic of it when I can finally transfer some from my camera.

Coal likes to stick his tongue out sometimes. It's strange....but, well here's a pic:

And lastly, I realized while looking back at one of the pictures that my Grandpa participated in the Garter toss at our wedding. He's the one with the gray hair. I just thought it was funny.

(And yes, my Dad is to the far right, but he wasn't there for the toss. It looks like he was holding the bouquet that my cousin just caught)

We are flying (if we can ever just buy the darn plane tickets ), but yes it would be a 10 hour drive....from South Louisiana.

Destin is a city in Florida...I guess I didn't think that northerners may not be so familiar with it. You oughta go. It's relaxing. Also we are staying with a friend of the family and attending a big 50th birthday bash for both of my Mom's friends (they are twins). One of them is the one that owns that pretty Cinderella carriage that I posted. Actually I will post it again.

I'm excited about my ressie...BUT the only bad thing is...I just looked at the menu on Allears and I see that the lunch menu is missing the exact thing I had planned on ordering----"Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon"

I guess I could still keep calling to see if something opens up for dinner. And if not we'll probably go anyway.

Well with out GPS and a map i am lost unless its WDW then i know how were when direction ...

Glad you keeping the lunch even if your at lunch ask your server about the mushroom filet they might be able to serve you that!

Current update:

I tried to get a later time on our Sci Fi reservation, and also asked about 50's Prime Cafe for that same day--however, both were booked. I will keep trying.

I keep trying to get Kona instead of Spoodles. But it's also booked. They had 9:05 available last time I tried, but there's no way we're eating that late. I'll keep trying some more for that one.

California Grill continues to be booked for Sept. 16, so it looks like we may be keeping our 5:40 reservation there. Again, I'll keep checking on this one, too.

And of course, as I already mentioned, I got an 11:40 ADR for Le Cellier on Sept. 18th. I talked to Mike about it and he said it sounds good, so I will probably be cancelling our Les Chefs de France dinner ADR soon. Instead of counter service for lunch, we'll eat counter service for dinner, probably somewhere in the WS. (OR---I'll keep trying to change our lunch to a dinner so I can get the Mushroom Filet...sounds SO yummy!)

If only I wasn't so darn indecisive, I wouldn't have to worry about all of this. But I can't help myself!

Also, I've been trying to order my customized maps for weeks now, and it NEVER works. Sometimes it won't pull up the map page, and others (like today) it's a big tease and lets me get ALL the way to the ordering page to click "order maps" and then gives me this error:

Still need to book our flight....
I just checked, and all the options that we want are still there, just a small variance in price (and still MUCH lower than the original cost when I first looked at them). I will let y'all know when we book it. We're RISKTAKERS!!


UPDATED: Almost forgot a VERY important update---Our vacation is officially paid off!

I just ordered my first 25$ Disney GC Woot Thanks cherbear! for all the help on SR!

Disney Visa is my friend, I use it for every thing, and pay it off ever week! put the whole vacation on it this year that earned some $$. I like the new rewards program they have. they rolled it out right after i had a friend sing up. I know you will earn enough to get a rewards card! BTW you save 10% most all purchase at the World of Disney Store in DTD for just mentioning 10% off and showing your card, you do not have to charge to it! and Since they have most all merchandise from the parks great way to stretch those gift cards and your dollars.

I think I will start one. I'll have to back track on when the planning started and try to remember everything that has happened between April (when we decided to go) and now. That should be a fun task. it will at least keep me busy on those not so busy moments at work. I'll give you the link to it after I start

We will be at the world from Sept 13th to Sept 22nd. We were gonna be be there the 14th through the 21st but we extended it by 2 nights since this trip is for our birthdays. We're sooo excited!

btw, I have 4 doggies myself and they are my babies as well. They are just like children

that's awesome that ya'll are flying. I wish I could convince my DH to fly but he's still afraid. He's getting better though. He's been up with my Uncle in my Dad's private airplane a few times and he loves it. I'm still working on him. Baby steps.

It's a big park, but who knows? There's a chance we could run into each other. Maybe we could "run into" eachother @ Tower of Terror and ride together. My DH doesn't like that ride or Rock 'n Rollercoaster but I've heard that one will be down the time we're gonna be there.
